any Thief series fans?

any fans of the Thier series on here? I remember playing the game waay before considering mysely a "casual" gamer. Im thinking of buying deadly shadows on steam but $20 is alot of money for such an old game and I dont any gamestops where I live so im forced to digitally buy most of my games.

Any news on Thief 4 also? Looking foward to that too

Thief 4 is coming but I wouldn't expect it to be released next year. Its a long way down the track.

There has been no new Thief IV news since it was officially announce a couple months ago. It will likely be that way for awhile, until Eidos wraps up Deus Ex 3.

I recently reinstalled Thief II and have been playing some more extremely impessive fan missions that I have missed out on in the past few years. The fans have perfected making missions just as good, and even better, than the official ones in the games.

O i forgo to mention I played deadly shadows on the original xbox version. Is there any difference between the PC version and the xbox version? I heard th PC version had gotten slightly higher reviews.

But I do agree, Deadly shadows is an excellent game, buy it. I played and beat it when it was on gametap for free, but they probably removed it by now.

I played the last one, didnt like it, il stick to splinter cell instead.

However a friend that is a fan told me that the last one sucked and the previous ones where better, just like deus ex>invisible war.

Thief games are awesome no question about that, Thief II The Metal Age is my favourite game of all times! As for Deadly Shadows... well i would be better if the city was bigger and there were more places to visit, still it's one awesome adventure with s good story, believable characters and great atmosphere! I will never forget that mission in the Shalebridge Cradle... i still got chills sometimes even when i think of it =] Thief 4 is gonna be awesome too if Eidos will learn from previous mistakes... i can't wait to see the 1st gameplay movie... =]
