Just Cause 2 requires Dx10 since Windows XP cannot use Dx10 then there is no way to play Just Cause 2 on that operating system. There is unlikely to be a "hack" or a work around for this so if you want to play Just Cause 2 then you will have to get an operating system that supports Dx10 this can be either Vista (which you may be able to buy cheaply) or Windows 7.
There is unlikely to be a "hack" or a work around for thischarmingcharlieThere is a project to port DirectX 10 to XP... if you do a google search for it you should be able to find their website and download links pretty easily. Took me all of ten seconds. :)

They started that project when Dx10 first came out which was FOUR years ago, we are now moving to Dx11. The Alky project died about 2 years ago, so unless you know of another "Dx10 on XP project" that we don't know about I think it is fair to say any hope of ever seeing Dx10 on XP is gone.

Aw, that sucks... I haven't looked it up in about two years, so I missed that part. Sorry about that mix-up.Ah it's no biggie ChiliDragon when I first heard about the project all them years ago I kinda felt it was very much a "pie in the sky" idea. I wish they had succeeded it might have meant earlier adoption of Dx10 if they had :P. Now four years on from Dx10 and with the majority of gamers being Dx10 users now I think any chance of a hack so late in the day for win xp users is gone.
I understand the TC's reluctance to spend money on an operating system but really Win XP is now 9 years old (approaching 10) I would be pretty amazed if any other part of the TC's computer was 10 years old. It is time to move up to Win 7 if you look around you can find some decent ish deals on the OS.
If you got the computer a year ago then it must at least have windows Vista on it. Now windows Vista is directx10 compliant so you can play Dx10 games on that operating system (as long as you have a Dx10 card as well). If you bought a computer less than a year ago and it still uses win xp then sorry but you were ripped off big time.
