The dude that installed windows on my pc for some reason divided my HD into 2. I find it very annoying since its a 250GB one. He divided it into a 40gb and the other one into 210gb. The main one is the 40gb ftl!!!! any way to change the default drive or combine them again?

Cheap way: Reinstall windows and remove the partition. Expensive: find a utility that could do it for you.

EDIT: meant to include that the expensive route would not require you to reinstall windows.

Well, the "dude" did the right thing, I'd say. How exactly is it annoying? If you really want to have just one big partition, I suggest you download and use Partition Magic.

I feel your pain cause i understand that almost everything you want to save goes straight into your 40gig partition. I have the same problem. As a couple before me have said, youcan either back upand re install creating a smaller partition, or use a partition wizard.
