Anyone buying Portal 2 for PS3?

On Amazon I can get Portal 2 for $35 on PS3 (which I can use to play a PC copy).

As to where the PC edition is $40 on Steam if I buy a two pack and split it.

Are any fellow PC gamers thinking of buying the PS3 copy and playing on PC?

Well the PS3 version only gives you a code to link the PS3 version to your Steam account so it really isn't two copies

An extra £10 or so to be able to play on PC and PS3 sounds like a fair deal to me.

You know I really was considering getting the ps3 version, but I realized when would I ever play it on the ps3 when I have my pc? Getting the 2 pack portal is only $40.

That's his point. It's cheaper on ps3 if you buy it from amazon. So even if you don't play it on ps3 at all, it's still a better deal.

PC, I don't even know anyone who has a PS3 that would allow me to tie it to my Steam account.

yeah that $20 amazon credit is pretty tempting.

I was going to get the PC version during a summer or winter sale, but decided to get the PS3 version since I get the Windows version too. Might as well. Getting $20 credit back plus an extra $5 off made it an easy choice.

Really? Doesn't make sense to you? Perhaps I'm missing something but I went the PS3/PC route. I'm sure I'll be playing the game more on the PC than on PS3 but for me the $20 Amazon credit actually makes the PS3 version cheaper -- I buy tons of games and other stuff from Amazon.

With the credit and having the option to play the game on either platform at my discretion, why not? At least that's my thinking.

Will the PS3 have split-screen? If it does I'll get that and use the pc copy for myself and the PS3 copy when friends come over.

It is with the "gift card", so of course its not the actual price really, but essentially, if you buy a lot off amazon it is.
