I think I will. I hope it will generate interest to get a sequel developed.

i dunno man, i mean, BG is my favorite game of all time, but really? the so called EE looks like they just installed the widescreen patch and ported it to the BG2 engine, so it was more polished, while retaining it's interface i'll just play bg tutu mod if that's the case :(I think I will. I hope it will generate interest to get a sequel developed.

That's exactly what I was worried about, but I never owned BG1, only 2, and I never got too far into it. I think I was too young to understand what I was doing at the time. Would you recommend getting BG1 and using the tutu mod so I can play through both?

It's up to you, to be honest. Modded Baldur's Gate and this 'enhanced' version aren't that different from each other except that EE has a different User Interface and the ability to zoom in and out. The content/quests haven't ben touched. There are probably other features, but they are so insignificant that it's not worth researching.
The main reason why this version exists is because of its expanded platforms; You can play it on a ipad. Which is quite brilliant.
On GOG.com, Baldur's Gate + Expansion is 10 bucks, wile the EE version will be 20 bucks. For the PC, you could either take 10 - 15 minutes of your time adding the required mods to enhance the original, or pay 10 bucks extra to get the enhanced version from the get-go with those two features said above.

I think you should wait for the EE and see if it's been cured from most bugs, because tutu wasn't free from them Plus you would be able to play it while retaining all it's core content and interface, so i think it is indeed worth it if you never completed it :) Lol i'm going to get it as well, even though i already completed it., and i confess i'm quite fascinated to see that there's the ability to zoom in and out[QUOTE="Branmuffin316"]

Yeah not sure how that is going to work inless they heavily modified the game.. Some fights were a nightmare to manage on the PC, touch screen seems like it would only make things worse... I hope they actually rebalanced the game because literally half the classes and their archtypes were horribly gimped especially when you compared them to the god teir classes like Sorc/Wizard, Monk, Kensai.

I just played through BG1 recently with the tutu mod, it was perfect.Haven't decided yet. I'm not too keen on the idea of adding all the BG2 classes and weapon skills and such to BG1. And they added some new NPC's, but will they be up to par with any of the NPC's from the original game? I'd be surprised.
I have been meaning to play BG and TotSC again, so I may just install those and play them as-is. Don't need an enhanced version :)

I think being able to zoom in and out might be worth it. The game strains my eyes if I play too long because everything is so tiny. Please Log In to post.
