I currently have 169.44 for my 8800 GT. If I upgrade to 174.74 will I encounter a crapload of problems? Also, will I seen an FPS increase in games like crysis, or does it make no difference. thx just wondering...

arent the 174.74 drivers meant for all the 9 series cards, not the 8800gt?
I have that for my 9600GT, so idk if its meant for 8 series cards. JSDempsey
exactly
WHQL certified driver for the following GPUs:
GeForce 9800 GX2
GeForce 9800 GTX
GeForce 9600 GT
GeForce 8300
GeForce 8200
GeForce 8100/NVIDIA nForce 720a
NVIDIA nForce 730a
those are the cards its listed for, i guess it would work since luminoulight saids its working for his 7800gt, but i definitly dont suggest it since its not meant for the 8800gt...

i take that back, apparently the 174.74 beta drivers do support the 8800gt
Supports GeForce FX, 6, 7, 8, and 9 series GPUs including these newly released GPUs:
GeForce 9800 GX2
GeForce 9600 GT
GeForce 8300
GeForce 8200
GeForce 8100/NVIDIA nForce 720a
NVIDIA nForce 730a
im kind of curious too now if its worth it with my 8800gt, im still using the 169.21 drivers
