Anyone here getting Civillization Colonization?

It seems very interesting and I am a fan of Civ 4 so I will be getting it.

I'm also excited to build up an army and kick the British arses.:D

Is this an expansion? Also whats the console version of Civ like?!biggest_loser

From the preview it doesn't seem like it.

Imagine that Civilization: Warhead. One of the world leaders you can pick at the beginning of the game is none other than Psycho himself. And maybe even his son will drop by with a surprise cameo! Can you guess which country you are going to invade first? North Korea here we come!!biggest_loser

And Civ: Colonization could be good. Although Im sure they only put the Civ name on it so that it'll sell.

I enjoyed the original Colonization (pc) back in 1995, but it wasn't an epic ("one more turn") game like Civilization I/II or Alpha Centauri. I don't understand why it isn't called "Sid Meier's Colonization II"JackBurton

Same here. I thought Colonization 1 was a good game though it ended up having an almost settler like feel to it (get resource type X so you can build up teir Y building to get resource Z and so on. But sitll. Very fun and accessible in spite of the fairly high level of complexity. I've you've played Civ and liked it I'd think it'll be worth a look.

I enjoyed the original and my wife and I always play Civ together so we shall be picking it up for the multiplayer aspect.

I enjoyed the original too. I wonder if this one will be santized as well. I remember the furor on the forums over Sid's decision not to include slavery yet allow indentured servants.
