This is a game that I've wanted to play since I was around 8 or 9 years old,(I usually just stared at the box at the mall whenever I had the chance) but never got around to it seeing that my PC at the time was complete crap and my parents would never buy it for me. Just recently however the name of this game popped up again while I was cruising through monoloth's game history. My question to all those who have played it, is if it's worth trying it now? Also is there any sort of sequel in the works for this game?
You should DEFINITELY get it. When I think about it it's probably my favourite shooter ever ( Deus Ex aside, not really a 'shooter' ). It can be pretty unforgiving though, but that's how games should be! The thing I love the most about the game is this: :)

Being a quite intelligent gent if I do say so myself, and I of course do, I'm guessing he has as there's definate clues in his posting that can be deduced if thought about hard enough.

Anyway, yes my roomate and I used to play it all the time. It's actually quite a fun one on one shooter. Something which there's not many of really.
Get the F.E.A.R. SDK and go through the music directory and find the file named RFC. That's the theme song from Shogo (you'll hear it even play on the radio in the game).
Monolith has a habit of reusing materials from it's games, so you'll see tidbits of textures/music and more shared from each of their games.
