Well, it depends. I use a 40" samsung series 6, which although it is pricey, it is extremely worth it in my opinion. I have use a 32", which was also good BUT you mainly have to look at the contrast ratio of the TV (E.g. 1000:1, 50,000:1) The higher, the better. The best i've seen, if you sit close range to your screen is a 20" LCD, the bigger it is + the closer you are can make it pointless buying a big TV. Do you sit close or far?

Something else I forgot to mention, is try to get a TV that has a "PC" slot, because HDMI looks like crap from a computer. Also at first you might feel sick when playing on it, so its something to get use to lmao, especially if your comming from a 2ms 19" screen.

Get a 120hz monitor or LCD TV and you are fine.

I've plugged in my desktop to my new TV for fun, but not seriously. This is my plan though for University. Chances are I'm going away for University, so I'll probably pick up a cheap 32" TV, and I can hook up my laptop to that. That will be my entertainment system for those 4 years haha

HD cables or VGA are the way to go (S-Video is absolute garbage). But then again, I'm not a videophile, so I'm sure that when an HDMI compatible card comes out, peeps will be crazy hahaha

I have a Samsung 37" HDTV connected to my PC. There's a pic of it under my profile. Everything looks great at 1920x1080 on it.

Personally, no. I sit about 2' away from my 40", if you wish to keep 20x20 vision though, I'd recommend a 32 for close to - mid range play.

From time to time I use a 32" 720P LCD tv at a computer monitor. I sit about 1 Metre away from it. Was pretty imersive playing Condemed.

Well, I have used my 40 1080p, and it works OK but I have to sit like 4ft away. If you can afford a 1080p it would be ok, if you were sitting pretty far. If you were looking for something big, there are quite a few 1600p 30" monitors out but they are all at least $1k or more, but I have used on in the apple store and they are sick. How far away are you going to sit? What is your budget?
