I dont know much about hardware, but I do know my laptop is out of date, any games from around 2008 onwards are too laggy to play and most of the ones before barely work on the lowest settings. I need to get a new laptop for gaming (no room for another PC on the desk) but I'm on a limited budget, so i was wondering what the cheapest laptop would be that could run all of the latest games on their highest settings with ease? thanks :)

Yes, a bugdet is necessary. But do understand that gaming is a luxury when it comes to a laptop. That Laptops already are considered luxuries. So you're gonna be paying a nice premium for any gaming capable laptop. I wouldn't consider anything under $600 barring some kind of discount/special on laptop.

Cheap / Gaming / Laptop... Choose 2. Cheap / Laptop Won't be good at gaming Gaming / Laptop Won't be very cheap Gaming / Cheap Won't be a laptop.

We dont know what you want. Give us a budget you're willing to spend and we'll try to give you the best that will fit within your budget. We also dont know what your definition of "cheap" is.

We are also cautioning you that theres no such thing as a "cheap gaming laptop."

Alien Ware are famous for being good gaming laptops, but honestly I don't know why. They are expensive and the hardware configuration is even worse than of other laptops. As far as I know Toshiba and Dell are good, but expensive because of the brand. Medion are selling gaming laptops with good hardware on relative cheap prices, but I have now information about their quality.

I am using acer for 6 years already and I really can recommend it to anyone else. This is my second one now. The first one did last for 5 years without any kind of problems. Yes, at the end it was out of date, but since I was playing only WoW, it was ok :).

It is really difficult to say, which laptop can run all new games and is cheap. I think all new ones can do it, the question is on what graphic settings. So my suggestion is to look for a few online shops and just compare the prices and the hardware configurations. Make your own research and find what is best for you, this is the best way, I think.

I can only give you some advises. The most important thing for a gaming laptop is the cooling system. The problem is that the sellers never give information in the description about it. So if you can, ask for details. For example for Toshiba there is an integrated program, which can set the coolers to never turn off, acer doesn't have one. Also you should get an additional external cooler. There are many on e-bay for low prices. Look for Intel not AMD. Some years ago I read that AMD is better for gaming than Intel (I don't know if this is still so), but as far as it gets to laptops, this is not the case. If you want to cut corners on the price, you can do it from the screen size. I think 15,6'' are fine, but this is only my opinion.

But in my opinion if you want a gaming machine, you should get a pc. With laptop you will always have the problem that you can't upgrade it and eventually it will get out of date. Well, you can insert more RAM, but that's all. Also even if you get one, which can run all new games on ultra graphic quality, is not what you want, because this will cut the life's laptop in half because of overheating.

I hope this was helpful.

first of all you're in britian, so you should ask someone from there as well. I know for a fact that stuff over there is alot more expensive than here. So a rougly $500 pound budget is actually around $600 USD buying power, even though it is a lot higher when you convert it. That is life theres nothing to be done about that. So now the question becomes....are there any good gaming laptops for around $600 USD? Nope, none. The best you can do for that budget is a AMD fusion based netbook, they will be able to play almost all games but on very low quality.

Like someone else said, cheap-gaming-laptop are 3 words that don't do well together in a sentence unless it is: "A cheap gaming laptop is non existant"

Like someone else also said, save the cash, buy a cheap laptop with a decent build quality and use the leftover cash to build a desktop, believe me, you will be amazed at how much more bang for your buck you will get.

Last but not least, STAY. AWAY. FROM. HP.

900 pounds and go through a boutique if you want some variations with decent graphics. Eurocom is a good site albeit their sort of notorious for certain business practices
