Anyone mad at the fact that their is no Halo 3 or Gears of War 2 PC versions?

It seems really weak that they won't put these games on the PC. Its really dumb that they would release the past games on PC but not release the sequels for us to play....

Yea, it's indeed a bummer. I really want an updated Unreal Editor supporting features seen in Gears of War 2, in addition, I'm told Gears of War 2 is a miraculous game. My 360 still sits in the corner with the infection of RROD, so I have no option for these titles.

Halo 3 I can understand given the backlash about the whole Vista/Halo 2 thing. That was a joke. Making a game Vista exclusive when it wasn't even Dx10.

Lol Microsoft really dropped the ball with Halo 2V. Now that I think of it, if it was built for XP, it might actually have been pretty successful.

personally I am pretty happy , after this thankfully we will not see any more threads about gears 3 and above and Halo XX on pc forums

edit : For the TC , afaik neither of the earlier games sold particularly well on PC. You cannot expect a company to keep releasing a game for PC just because they released the sequel on it, even though it's not profitable for then

they made a big mistake with halo 2 and the whole vista exclusive thing and despite the extra level releasin gears 1 a year after the console release was just too long a time for people to really care, especially when, as a game hyped for its visuals, it was released in the same month as crysis. i think if those games sold better, like they probably should, then there'd be more of a case to release the sequels.

and as said by many before you get the impression ms want as many 360 exclusives as possible. shame as id really like to see gears 2 in full hd, the 360 handled it admirably but showed signs of severe strain at times. and its actually a really good game

I am not really bothered. I have many other games to play. If the thinking was that I would suck it up and buy a 360 then Microsoft and Epic games failed because I don't have one.

Considering I have a 360 as well as a gaming PC, I'm not mad about it but I understand the frustrations of some PC gamers. However, I like to say that to some of you elitist PC gamers really need to grow up and stop saying that console games suck. Some do not suck plain and simple. There are some great PC games and there are some crappy PC games and the same goes for the consoles. Halo 3 and Gears 2 are great fun games. Back on topic, there are 2 reasons PC gamers aren't seeing these titles. One, the previous games didn't sell well on the PC. Two, I believe Microsoft is trying to strengthen it's exclusive lineup for the 360. It's a shame PC gamers wont get to enjoy these two games but that is the way it is unfortunately.

They are good console games, but really they just were not made for PC gaming. They just aren't worth playing over other more established PC shooters, which is why the previous versions likely did not sell that well.

I'm just wondering why people who will toss a few hundred bucks down for a video card won't bother to buy a 360, then complain they never get to play 360 games on PC.zomglolcats

this is a good wonder. that's why it's amusing for me to see this kind of threads (excluding those who have both console and PC, and just want to play those exclusives with higher graphic quality) and more amusing when people havesigs boasting their system horsepower and wish for a PC version of console exclusives at the same time.

anyway, I think, the present multiplaform trend is to stay, and so if Sony and MS don't cease their exclusive battle (and most likely they won't), we won't see any more exclusive to PC event. the reason is simple-- when exclusives wear off their exclusive charm and can be released on PC, they are already old games; they cannot compete with all the new, high profile multiplaformers. just imagine how Gears 2 and Halo 3 would fare against Batman:AA and MW2? it's not even worth the effort to do the port job.

I would like to see Alan Wake come to PC.

Mad? I wouldn't say. All I'd want is GoW 2 and maybe Fable 3. But I surely am mad about the GTA DLC's not arriving on PC.
