Anyone played the Medal of Honor beta?

I was so surprised... the game is a copy of Bad Company 2... Even the server browser has the same icons to represent ranked, hardcore... It share bugs with Bad Company 2 (for example sometimes there are animations when changing to the grenade launcher and sometimes it doesn't). The only differences: smaller maps, guns with no recoil, no vehicles and killstreaks (they're all cons to my eyes). Even the reload animations for the guns look the same! What do you think about the beta? (Those are my thoughts for the multiplayer only)

Well, the first time I started playing it I was having a lot of fun but now that I've noticed no recoil and the fact that there are sounds taken from BC2, I'm skeptical about MoH's multiplayer. It's a smaller, faced-paced version of BC2. I'm quite attracted to the sound design in MoH, even though it's the same engine as BC2.

I thought it was fun for a while but if this is all it has to offer, then I'd say it's just a mediocre multiplayer game. Pretty much the same modes as BC2 but in a smaller scale. A copy and paste multi-player.

So the plus side for me about the beta is :

+ Sound : Somehow it sounds great on Home Cinema. The radio chatter and explosions make it feel chaotic.

+ Performance : It runs much smoother than Bad Company 2, so you won't likely die often due to lag.

Oh, gawdd yes, the camping. The Kunar Base map is camper heaven. Go around this corner, that corner, boom, a shotgun to the face. But the snow mountain map is pretty decent since the defenders have an advantage to be able to ambush the opponent.

Personally i didnt think it felt too much like BC2...but judging as black ops looks like a good COD title ill just wait a month :P

The game has only multiplayer mode and 2 maps. I must admit that I liked it, as I consider it to be a mix of CoD and BFBC2.

I did't like BFBC2 at all and I was really sceptic about this game, however it seems much more fun and I may consider buying it after all.

Guys. You all have to remember its JUST a beta. There will be glitches there will be only a hand full of maps and it will feel unfinished. gmaster456

It has its issues just like Modern Warfare2 and Bad Company2, but its still pretty fun.

With that said, its nothing new and I wont be getting it right away, maybe when its half priced or if i get it for xmas.

I will just post what I said in another thread. Since people like giving themselves titles at this site like Game Spotter of the year and PC game chancellor. I will be called the PC king :P.

Well I just got done playing a few maps and it was better than I thought, however not great. I played on the mountain pass map and it was a pretty mehtastic map. I like the location and I like the setting, the layout sucks though. It encourages nothing but camping and/or sniping. I have no played the other one yet. I hope it is better. The guns feel nice and I would even go as far to say the hit detection is much better than BC2. I had really no lag on any of the servers and it was pretty smooth. It runs great and looks pretty good. In the end though, I can not help but feel it is a stripped down BC2, which is a stripped down Battlefield game. I will end up getting this game, but I will ask for it for Christmas. I have a feeling CoD BO may be better. The PC King

True, but the problems with the maps and gameplay won't be fixed by release.

Map design is really terrible. I mean for crying out loud the map design was better in BF Modern Combat than this lol

I f'in hate the default sniper rifles. I'm trying to stack up some points to get a real scope so I can maybe get some kills with these terrible rifles.

The graphics are beautiful and at the moment it is only letting us use Direct X 10 so i cant wait to play it in

Overall.... İf you pick between cod black ops or MOH.....İf you want realisticgaming then go with moh but if you want a game that is not realistic then cod !

The single player better be damn good. Everything I have seen from the multiplayer has been kinda lame. If you already played BC2...then I fail to see how this is worth a 60$ purchase. Seriously, its exactly like that game, only smaller in scale with lack of balance.

I played the beta on the PS3 and I hated it, every game was full of campers and it felt like a MW2 rip-off.

For some reason I had much better experience on the PC, maybe it was because the screen is next to your face or the headphones or something, much more enjoyable it was.

I have been playing a little more and i got to say that i cant seem to uderstand what the hell is the deal with hit detection. I shoot from close range with a shotgun and the enemy is still standing and falls down a second later. Also most kills or deaths are done by assault rifles that the first few bullets hit you and the rest hit you when you strafe towards a wall. Infact i remember shooting through the wall and then getting a hit and a kil on an enemy. This and more frustrating gunplay issues make the game seem pretty dull and confusing.

Only reason I downloaded the beta was cause Steam reminded me, I didnt have any high expectations at all but now im considering buying it.
