So, to anyone playing Aion, what do you think of it...
What are some of the good points, what are some of the bad?

btw I remember that gamespot Posted Game-In-Review Blog saying the game review is in the way, that was 3 weeks ago so where is the review Dark_prince123
Maybe they want to reach the level cap before posting a review. From what I heard 40-45 is pure grind and 45-50 is just hardcore grind not helped by the fact that the xp requirement rockets through the roof for no reason except making the game seem longer.
I play it, but I am starting to feel tired of it. It may be due to the fact that Aion is all I have been playing lately, ignoring all my other games. I am at lvl 31 (Glad), and its just starting to feel like a full time job getting from one lvl to the next. I am not expecting to lvl up up everyday, but the XP gaps between some of the lvls are insane. Not only that, but the majority of quests give out crap XP (which was in a article they were going to fix on the Aion site).
If you don't have a lot of time on your hands, stay away. I am not renewing my subscription, because this month I have other better games to be playing (MW2, AC2, L4D2, etc). This game will eat your life away like nobody's business.
P.S. I am not hating on the game, its a very beatifully crafted game, but its def time consuming.

just to clarify on this...pretty much 29-50 is pure grind....sure there is a few quests, but at *best* they get you a quarter to the next level, if that far...the rest of the level you kill same mobs over and over till you level....
Yeah should be soon although I have already done most of those quests :( But good for newer people :DThanks for the replies all!
I've been told as well, that there is a patch coming to majorly increase the XP to reduce grind even more.

I've been playing this game for a while now and I can tell you the graphics and gameplay on this thing is just simply gorgeous! The only problem I'm encountering with this game is some boring grinding as you reach a higher level, like some other people said it's hard to level up unless you have a lot of time in your hands. But this game is still worth checking out if you want to experience a new type of MMORPG that you want to upgrade from any other mmorpg out there right now, Aion is really worth it!
I love the game, but i personally can see some problems. One is the fact that there are XP walls where you all a sudden have no way to level besides to grind, which is very annoying. I am currently playing my alt until 30 cause that is where my last character's XP wall was at.
Renewed my subscription to this game yesterday hoping to find something rewarding to do in this game. Well, that wasn't the case. The networking part of this game is very poorly done. I only played for 2 hours and I died 2 times because of the huge influence even the smallest amount of lag has on this game. And there's the fact that lag can cancel what you are doing like gliding if you press the assigned buttons too fast at the right moments. Which was my case. The second time I died was because I couldn't cast any spells on the monster because even the slightest lag causes the game to become extremly unresponsive and pretty much watched my character slowly killed by a mob, 4 levels lower than me. I tried other mmo's that I had installed, and I didn't have this kind of trouble in them at that time. So that rules out my internet connection.
And then came the feeling that I wasn't moving anywhere because this game is a grind. I don't mind having to earn a lot of experience to level up if you have interesting stuff to do in the meanwhile. Which wasn't the case. I will probably play this game from time to time desperately hoping to find something nice about this game.
Finally, I can't understand why so many people applaud this game's mechanics. The only thing that I've seen with this game is a generic mmorpg skeleton from 6-7 years ago, wrapped up in nice graphics.
Bottom line, I've played much more better games than this and still have plenty of other games to play. This game sits at the deep bottom in my preferences list. As much as NCsoft tries to advertise this game as a "western style mmorpg", at it's heart it's still a mindless korean mmorpg. My recommendation is to look at other mmo's like warhammer, wow, guildwars and avoid this game. It's not bad,but neither that good.
