I've just seen totalbiscuits video on this, as well as a couple of other youtubers previously. It looks like a genuinely interesting concept. I really like the dungeon keeper part of the game.  Im thinking of buying the starter pack instead of waiting for a beta invite. Is anyone playing this?

They have open house til August 6th, so try it out while you can.

As for the game itself, I hope you like facebook games, because that's what it pretty much is. Everything takes several hours to build/upgrade and you can only do it 2 at a time. You'll have to use real money to skip wait times, but you'll still need to farm a ton of resources.

The gameplay get's boring after a short while, everyone uses same castle design (big stompy mobs), so you it's almost impossible to loot castles of the same level as you. So all you'll be doing is running the same premade castle over and over.

Castle design is very restrictive and imbalanced towards big stompy creatures. You're better off keeping your castle at low level (it scales with the level of mobs in it), and just using your resources for upgrades. This way only low levels can get any decent loot from it, except they wont be able to clear it.

The only really fun part is watching replays of people attempting to loot your castle until some high lvl player comes in and one shots everything. He wont get much loot from it, but it does put a shield over your castle and it's very unlikely that someone will run it while the shield is up.

This game has a great concept, but it's executed in the worst imaginable way.
