Well sorry, i may be wrong but i know for sure that when i played it in 2002 i had an amazon lvl 132, paladin 112, assassin 144, necromancer 101, sorceress 92. Maybe i can find the save these days, but i don't think i still have it :(. the lvl cap has been increased sice 1.10. I don't know about battlenet since i didn't have broadband internet back then, but for single player i am sure it exceeds 99. If it really doesn't then sorry, forgive a noob or whatever you would call me for annoying you:).Maybe you had cheats or a trainer that unlocked the level cap or something.
Nope i never used cheats in Diablo. I may have been wrong sorry for that, i'll just play and see what happens after 98.99 :). Only thing i used was to set the players to 10-32 (to multiply the difficulty) because i was getting tired to search for stronger monsters to level up, but no cheats for unlocking lvl cap, money or anything else. I'm against cheats 100%. What is the point to buy games and cheat your way out of it anyway? peolpe who buy games and start cheating , especially the online ones, spoil the fun for everyone else. Why pay for something and start cheating? it's stupid and a waste of money. For ecample in COD4, i recently found a pretty low ping 64 players server with custom maps and it's very fun and the maps are big enough even for 64 players, but there are many who cheat. From 5 to 5 minutes 2 or 3 players get banned for cheating :(.
