Well I've played the beta over at a friends house and I must say, Champions Online is definitely one hell of a game. I even think there is a small small small chance that it may actually be better than WoW. Anyone agree?

Yes, but AoC was garbage and Warhammer was just "ok"... I wouldn't put Champions in either of those categories YET.
In my opinion, I don't think it can do it. WoW has such a huge player base that it's almost near impossible to kill. Even if WoW came out again, it would be killed by itself.
Wow is pretty big, they even reached the 1 million players mark, and that is a big accomplishment. To beat wow means that all wow players, and players from other games have to play it, and that is hard to accomplish.

Either CO will have to have better graphics than WoW (and how hard is that?) or they'll have to give players screenshots which sell the product better than they do.
I base a lot of my decision-making about a game on screenshots, and Champions Online doesn't do it for me.
Better or worse is really a matter of opinion, which I have none on CO as of yet, and probably won't due to the fact that I've decided to not to get into new mmo's anymore.
As for popularity, it's not going to beat WoW in any way. Which of course doesn't matter, who cares which mmo has the most subscribers? As long as YOU really enjoy the game, and trust the devs/publishers to keep it up and around then what does it matter if it has 10k or 10m subs?

There are a few MMOs out there now that are better than WoW in alot of things. This is arguable, of course. But WoW beats them all in marketing. WoW wins.
What do you mean beating WoW? In the amount of subscribers? No way. That doesn't mean it cannot be a better game for some people . If you like the game then play it. You don't need 11 million backing you up.
Champions won't even come close, I'm probably gonna be getting it but at most it's gonna hit 200,000 Subs. CO looks like a single player game compared to WoW.
