hmm, it seems that everyone forgot about this upcoming card's existence, am I the only one waiting for this, or is everyone jumping on the 8800 band wagon? I don't know, I just don't seem to have faith in the 8800's, like I don't think they will run good on upcoming games in 2008, plus the performance doesn't impress me on current games even. I am just gonna wait for the 9800's.

Well, considering the 9800 hasn't even been confirmed by Nvidia, I'm not holding my breath.

true, yet there are still many articles on its existence, and does it not seem logical that this will be their next card?

i started building my pc a couple of months ago and i am too impatient to be waiting for the 9800 to be releasd, which is said to be november, but to be honest, its going to be over priced. i am going to wait till after christmas when its slightly cheaper and all the kinks have been worked out. then the 8800 can just be put on ebay or something.

I'm waiting for the next DX10 series cards. Logic tells me that for quality GFX at high res you're going to need a lot of ram on the card or a hell of a fast architecture to push it. We all know that SLI and Crossfire aren't as good as one faster/better card. Also waiting for the Intel Penryn core CPU's before i upgrade so i can wait.:D

I might wait. Im ordering most of my pieces to my new rig today besides the video card. I need confirmation of these new cards before i can decide. Plus we dont even know how any of these DX10 cards are going to perform DX10.

It's not necessarily a bad thing to wait for a new line of video cards, just don't expect it to be as good as the speculation says it is.

Well i know I wont be buying a new video card until I see these DX10 cards running DX10 games. I know there are some games were you can use DX10 features but they are poorly optimized. Hopefully bioshock will give me a taste of the real performance of these new DX10 cards.

I'm waiting to see how current cards perform on true DX10, so Bioshock will be a deciding factor. If they don't perform up to par in DX10, then I'm going to buy a X1950 Pro and wait for the 9800s.

yeah I'm waiting for this card, I'm not to confident that current dx10 cards will max in dx10. also seeing as it comes in november the same month as crysis i dont miss out on anything so i'm good.

are u serious?????? 500-600 usd for a card thts gonna break the barrier of 1 terra flop.....get a life and start using ur own logic. even if it does cost 600usd then the 8800gtx will cost around 350usd or 300usd at tht timecoz it just doesnt make sense having 2 different series cards of the same price if u know wat i mean.

Still holding back on ordering all the parts for my new PC until Crysis comes out, most likely. Hopefully by then we'll know more about nvidia's next card and I can plan better. I just don't want a GPU that's been out for a year now. Hardware is always changing and it's about time something topped the 8800.

It's not looking good for ATI as AMD are dragging them down. Still no real news about their R700 chips.Even the ATI fanboyz aren't very optomistic about the future. Check out
