I have completely ordered all my PC parts and now I'm waiting on the graphics card and Windows 7 to arrive, but I wanted to know if there was anything I should have done differently. Here are my new specs:

AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz Quad-Core Processor - $189

ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3 MoBo - $64

G.Skill 4GB DDR3 1600 RAM - $96

Sapphite ATI Radeon 5770 1GB Graphics Card - $165

OCZ 550w Fatal1ty Gaming Gear Power Supply - $40

Antec 300 Series Case - $35

Western Digital 1TB 7200RPM Hard Drive - $80

Sony SATA CD/DVD Burner - $28

Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit - $105

Total - $802

My price range was about $800. Anything I could've bought that was better?

The Samsung F3 1TB should be the same price but faster.

I also suggest a decent cooler for that CPU, the Freezer Pro 7 Rev.2 is the best for the money.

I ordered all my parts from Newegg.com except for my Hard Drive which I bought at Best Buy on Sale.

I probably would have bought that Hard Drive, but I desperately needed a hard drive back in August and since Best Buy had a sale on it, I figured it would be a good buy. I might look into that cooler, but I'm not sure I want to OC my CPU because I might damage it. Wouldn't the stock fan that came with the CPU take care of the CPU temp at 3.4GHz?

Well I was thinking that in maybe a year or 2 I would buy another 4GB of DDR3 1600 RAM, so I decided not to get 6GB because it wasn't worth the extra cash.

If you had bought 6GB it would only run in single channel, not dual. Since it requires 2 stick or 4 sticks of RAM.

if you overclock, i reccomend getting a higher power supply. a 550w is more then enough to run it, but if your running demanding games on the 5770, it may fall short on watts. my 450w died from my 4890. it was an antec, and i think its rating was 525. i have a core 2 quad but i dont think the tdp is much higher

So running Crysis close to max settings at 1360x768 could give me problems with my 550w PSU? BTW, I'm almost positive I'm not OCing my CPU.

Could someone please answer me on this? I'm expecting my new graphics card to arrive in the next 2 hours.

Ok the 5770 is no where near as power demanding as the 4890 lol. a 550W is good and beyond for a 5770. Trust me. Running a 4890 on 450W is suicide. Running a 5770 on a 550W, there is space for overclocking.
