AoC: What class will/would you be?

Just wondering what any of you will be when, or if, you decide to get Age of Conan. For those that dont know, here is a list.

Priest:
1. Priest of Mitra: your typical healer priest, this is one of the good guys
2. Bear Shaman: while this ****can heal and buff, it can also transform into a bear to melee enemies.
3. Tempest of Set: this sub****of the priest prays to the evil god Set and can summon a snake, poison enemies, and heal friends and weaken enemies

Soldier:
1. Guardian: your good ol' tank **** he or she can use shields but can also use twohanded polearms to keep enemies at a distance through combos.
2. Conquerer: a ****that wears heavy armor, they do a lot of damage through using dual-wield.
3. Dark Templar: a melee ****that uses evil and blood magic to buff themselves and party members, and to weaken enemies.

Rogue:
1. Barbarian: specilizes in dual-wield, this ****wears very light armor but is agile and deals a lot of damage
2. Assassin: the stealth **** high dps
3. Ranger: specializes in ranged combat

Mage:
1. Demonologist: taps into the powers of evil to cast AoE and nuke damage
2. Necromancer: can summon pets and uses cold and death magic to weaken foes; has damage over time (DoT) spells. Can become a lich.
3. Herald of Xotli: reaching out to an evil God beyond that of their own universe, this ****can transform into an awesome demon to damage and kill foes.

I think I will start of as a bear shaman. I would be a priest of mitra, but I want to be able to dps fairly well. For my second ****I will be dark templar.

I have an Assassin. Going lotus for pve leveling. Probably change for pvp. On the side I have a ranger and a demonoligist. Havn't really leveled them much because I want to focus on my main for a while and other reasons. I want to try the HoX and Guardian eventually.EndersAres

It's nice. There are a few bugs here and there but I expect them to fixed fast. Fast hitting combos and stealth love as you would expect. It's going to be harder to level as an assassin than most other classes, especially if you solo. I am having fun with it. I really didn't dig the whole unholy assassin thing. That's why I chose the lotus build. It seems more interesting and realistic to my assassin needs and wants.

demonologist sounds cool (your description and the name itself), so i guess i'd be a demonologist if i were to play the game, which i probably won't. actually, the herald of xotli sounds even cooler. somehow, when i play games, i'm drawn to evil. EEEEEEViLLLLLLLLLLL~!!!fireandcloud

:) transforming into a demon is definitely cooler than summoning demons. i dunno why, but it is. i can't remember a game in which you can transform into a demon, so this may be a first?

:) transforming into a demon is definitely cooler than summoning demons. i dunno why, but it is. i can't remember a game in which you can transform into a demon, so this may be a first?

Baldur's Gate I or II. I forget which one. But you can turn into a demon...

Also, I would be the Reclusive Templar if I played this game. That'd be the templar that didn't show up that much. I'd study the magic and have lots of spells, but whenever my party members gathered for a monster beatdown, I would stay home... usually.

Yeah, I'm just screwing around, but it was the 3 types of priests thing and particulary the Bear Shaman thing that really did it for me.

I'd really like to avoid getting into any more time sinking MMOs until at least Guild Wars 2, but I do have to admit this game is tempting me to the dark side...

Im not 100% sure yet! They all sound really cool hehe, but right now im thinking either "Bear Shaman" or Necromancer8)

Next monday i will have to decide! hehe, cant wait!

If anyone wants to join up and do some missions that would be sweet, as not to many of my friends are getting this right away.

I'm currently a conqueror, and I'm loving it. Lots of fatalities, great combos and some really good support skills...good flexibilty, the feat trees give me the options to either be a tank or strong dps dealer.

And for anyone looking for that overpowered class...right now it seems that the Bear Shaman owns all.

Can you guys tell me if AoC is instanced like guild wars or open world like Wow? And how solo freindly is it? Generally, I like to learn the ropes on my own before I group up.brianpoetzel

Its both(at least at first). Tortage is where you start(1-20) and its very much like Guild wars, lots of instances. The game opens up afterwards from 20-80. Its still instanced, but not like GW...you will see others in the same instance, but oonce it hits a player limit, it starts a new one to reduce lag.

Ive been playing the early access over the last weekend, and I solo'ed most of the time. Shouldnt be a problem from what I've played and heard.
