APb is getting renamed currently the new working title is APB: reloaded it will be F2P NO MICRO. unlike K2's previous mmo's using microtransacitons this will be a 1 time retail/steam buy.. thats it. its unclear if existing users will reap any benefits of her return.. abp:reloaded kicks back sometime in q1-2 2011

What no microtransactions and F2P, how are they going to keep servers running? But also it seems like great news so far.

This is how it should have been released in the first place. did they really expect to keep a large player base using monthly fees?

If you buy it once and play for free its called buy to play.

Re-read the first post. He just said it's not an F2P game by saying that it's a purchased title.

Developer? No, just a new publisher. They've had a pretty poor history though with their games, one by the name of Parabellum, never even came out and it had so much potential back in 2008.

Well there are some companies that have given F2P games a really bad rap, those being Nexon and K2/GamersFirst. They've done pretty bad things to their games. That being said, nothing has really happened with K2 in some time to bring up that they haven't improved, since they lost the F2P limelight to Combat Arms back in 2008, and then even more so again with AVA in 2009. K2 could do well, we'll have to see, especially since they're going with a different income model. They would typically have premium accounts for their games, which would be ridiculously better than the non-paying accounts rather than just a little better.

Where are you getting your info ? From fantasy fake land ? LOLZ anyone interested in apb, head over to the APB Reloaded Fan Site ( addy is www.apbr.net ). The game is going to be free or premium payments. Payment structures have been discussed but are not set in stone yet..
