Kudos to Apple for finally being realistic about the security of their software. I was very pleased to hear that they enlisted the help of Kaspersky to improve security.MarfooKudos? Took them long enough to realise it. Imo to much time to be giving them kudos for finally realising it.

but wasnt Kaspersky site hacked or something when someone click on download trial they downloaded a virus a year or a few years back xD?
plus thre was already to many threats going around for a few years now for Apple, Apple didnt want to admit it.
Corporate body making false claims. Nothing new. Without Steve Jobs we will see Apple slump into the ground, they might recover if they find a glorious leader though. But its gonna get worse before it gets better.KLONE360
stop riding steve jobs jock, he wasn't that great, the only reason people think hes so big is because he died before meeting his inevitible failure.

Your implying that he didnt have anything to do with the company and its internal workings. Yes he was an arse, and I still hate him. I see you have very little cognitive understanding of what your actually claiming. Just look at the products made after Jobs in Apple, a laptop that will burn your crotch and a tablet that's worse then the previous. And Jobs did save the company from failure before. He was a tyranical jerk but dont be a fool and claim he did nothing. He was a damn good marketer though. Let me tell you, I have never owned an Apple product because of distaste of their products and I hate Ipods and Itunes with a passion. So stop riding your own jock and get off your high horse.[QUOTE="blaznwiipspman1"][QUOTE="KLONE360"]Corporate body making false claims. Nothing new. He wasn't a tyrannical jerk, he was slightly paranoid but pretty near normal don't be fooled. The only tyranical jerk I know is hitler Apple nearly went through bankruptcy back in 98 and that was WITH jobs at his peak time. Microsoft only bailed them out just to save their own ass from the US government and its anti competition laws. I guarantee you if it weren't for the government, then apple would have been integrated into microsoft a long time ago and nobody wouldve given 2 shts about jobs. The only thing he would have been known for is his investment into cinematics back in 98 that made him a billionaire
i just want to get a hold of Microsoft and tell them now its the time to make a ad on TV that bashes Macs with the same kind of TV ads that Macs did for PCs.
apple:Hi i am a Apple, and this is a PC, we do not get viruses...
Windows: uhh yeah you do, even your own web site says you do.
apple: oh no they mean...
Windows: no no it is very clear what your web site says.
apple: but we are better because..
Windows: umm dude we have more support for a lot of programs and games...
Windows where you have all the experience with out the rip off price tag.
end ad
A nice annoying virus on Mac is something I would dream of seeing just to destroy the confidence of all the zealots and misinformed out there.
Then I'd be happy!!!!!!

Lol, you say this as Mac OSX keeps adding iOS like features. And also Win8 has the full desktop.Marfoo
I have heard so much complaining about Win 8 with many people saying "no start button, no regular desktop, you have to relearn everything...". Clearly, those people didn't know what they were talking about. Win 8 might be pretty good after all, but the metro ui is one of the most ugly and useless thing I've ever seen (it doesn't have anything gadgets or a few clicks can't do).

This is true, the Metro UI is very cumbersome with a keyboard and mouse if you try to use those applications. It uses screen space very liberally to be touch friendly and sacrifices the precision a mouse provides. However, as a keyboard/mouse user I found that if you used Metro simply for the "Start Screen" and not as your primary environment the usage paradigms from Windows 7 remain majorly unchanged in some places accessing things is faster and easier. At first glance though this is not very obvious. I found myself liking my Win 8 setup a whole lot once I had it configured right. I think Metro UI will be great for touch devices. I have a Windows Phone and Metro is very fluid responsive and easy to use. I can't think of a better interface for something with a touchscreen. Considering the circumstances Microsoft has really delivered the unified experience in almost no time at all. Phones, tablets, laptops, desktop, touch or no touch. That's impressive, all with the same operating system or majority of the same code base. Then there is Windows 7. It's a great operating system and not many people would want to pay $100 to get Windows 8. Makes sense, except they knock 8 in the process. Windows 8 is the better OS.Please Log In to post.
