Arcania vs Witcher 2?

I'm looking to get some RPG and I narrowed it down to those two. My first question is, how is Gothic 4: Arcania from an objective point of view? I know Gothic fanboys found it to be a disappointment but how is it without looking back on the previous games? I've played Gothic 2 for a while back in the day when it was released for some time and that's about all I got from the series, so I wouldn't be getting this as a sequel, rather a stand alone game. The second question is, obviously, which one would you recommend?

Just to point out, I haven't played the first Witcher either, so both games would be a new thing to me instead of sequels.

Arcania has so many problems, i don't even know where to start.

But i'll narrow them down to 3:

1)The Story makes absolutely no Sense

2)A lot of times, it's extremely Lineal

3)Not only is the combat a Joke, but the Game is Ridiculously easy.

The Witcher 2 beats it in EVERY possible way.

Gothic4 is one of the worst rpgs ive ever played and a slap across the face of fans of Gothic1-3. Even if it was named something else, lets say "SLAYER", it would still be one of the worst rpgs ive played in 20+ years, STAY AWAY! Gothic4 sucks as a Gothic game yes, but it sucks even worse as an rpg.

The Witcher2 is amazing, get that!

Witcher 2 all day. Arcania is a nice visual treat imo, but still doesn't compare to Witcher 2 (even in visuals, no contest.)

I had hopes from Arcania after playing Gothic 3 but the game was terrible and i was completely disappointed.

I don't need to say Witcher 2 just the best RPG for 2011.
