Arctic silver 5 and AMD

Should I make a line of arctic silver 5 on my cpu or a dot in the middle? I have amd 5000+X2 Black Edition

it should only be a small dot in the middle, then you spread it around til its paper thin.. its only there to provide a better contact area for the hs/f

The AS5 web site said not to spread it. I just put a dab in the center, and mine is COLD.

also I want to ask and I dont feel like makeing another thread, Would a Dvi-D connector to my monitor increase the refresh rate of my monitor, I notice flashing on my Acer Al2051W 20 inch monitor at 1680X1050 60hzTrooperManaic

Refresh has to do with the technology of the monitor - not the plug.
