Are gaming mouses more accurate?

I also have the Alienware mouse that came with my computer.

When I turn up the sensitiviy its not so smooth when trying to aim in small areas. Like it doesnt move smoothly and the reticle skips. Is that normal or would a more expensive gaming mouse be much smoother?

I dont know what a better mouse is suppose to do in terms of accuracy. Although on killcams all the other players reticles look about as accurate as my mouse.

What do I do keep the sensivitiy low then raise the dpi?

In the meantime with my current mouse is it best to keep the sensivity low so it will be smoother?

gaming mouses have much higher dpi than normal mouses and a much higher report rate. The report rate is probably why you notice your mouse is skipping. A higher report rate means your mouse is updating its position more often to your pc which helps it not skip and makes it more precise. A higher DPI helps with this too because it makes your mouse more sensitive and able to cover large areas with a small amount of movement.

So yeah gaming mouses are more accurate + more comfortable usually and more customizable in the form of weights and extra buttons. So yeah better in every way.

a good mouse is always worth the money. consider how much you interact with a mouse, all the time you are at your pc so its worth having quality. £30-60 should get you something decent.

I use 800 DPI and default settings and I destroy in fps. You don't need some 5000 DPI mouse with special drivers and uber pointer precision.

Buy a mouse that feels comfortable for you and has enough buttons - not overkill.

Logitech makes good products. I think there is only called the g500 which is similar to the mx518 but a bit bigger.

I think you just have to get used to the mouse your using....The only reason you would want a high DPI mouse is if you dont have much space for the mouse itself.

Not sure but definitly have more buttons than regular mice

I know technology so well that I can predict trends.
