Hi, I'm using a Dual-Core E5200 and a 8800 GTS.

While idling, my CPU temp is around 45C and GPU around 55C. After playing L4D2 for an hour, my CPU temp is 65C and GPU around 75C. Is it too hot? My fan can only spin about 1900 RPM at max speed.

Also, the GPU and CPU are not overclocked.

They are a little high at idle but seem to be normal in game temps with stock cooling like mine.. Mines was at 42 idle for cpu and 47ish for gpu before i got my new case.. dropped the cpu temp 10C I wouldnt be too concerned but if i were you id buy a better cooling method or just raise the fan speeds.

the GPU is fine, but the CPU temps are a bit high for that CPU, you may want to open up your case and blow out the dust on the heatsink.

Are you sure 1900 is max RPM? Have you installed riva tuner to up your fan speed? As for the CPU, all I can say is consider buying a third party cooler like noctua or thermalright.

Both are about 10°c hotter than my old setup (8800GT & E6750).

My old x2 5600 got that high only when:

1. It was 95 degrees out and like 85 degrees in my room.

2. My GPU's 100C heat was steaming up the nearby X2 5600.

3. I had the worst ventilated case ever - one rear exhaust fan only, cluttered wires.
