Are there any good platformers for the PC?

The one thing I'm missing on my PC is platforming games. Anyone know of any?

The PC has certainly had its fair share of platformers - try 'Free Abuse,' 'Jazz Jackrabbit' and as a special recommendation from me: 'Coma' on newgrounds.

How about Super Meat Boy?

Rayman 2: The Great Escape was one of the best ever, but its from 1999.

Still my favorite. I also think that I-Ninja is underrated.

Good suggestions apart from Jolly Rover, which is a point & click adventure (a quite enjoyable one).

VVVVVV, Super Meat Boy, Trine, Psychonauts (although it is more known for its narrative than platforming mechanics), Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light and the Prince of Persia games - Sands of time especially and PoP2008 had solid platforming sections.illmatic87

I wish it didn't have any platforming in it, but DMC 4 has some.

contra, super contra, and castlevania 1-3 were ported to the pc as well..i should know i own them

Trine, VVVVVV, NyxQuest, Super Meat Boy are pretty recent games, all worth a look. Jazz Jackrabbit 2 is an old game but has aged really well. It also has a map editor allowing user made levels to extend its longetivity.
