Forget wireless unless you want to say goodbye to quality, and don't waste money on crappy brands like turtle beach.

theres many, which one varies on your price range. also, i particularly think that turtle beaches sound pretty poor, even the higher line, and theres better choices. to answer your question, pretty much any non-wireless headset is gonna be battery-free. If you have your heart set on that brand, they have a wired equivalent of just about every set they have wireless. honestly, save a bit more and buy something worth using, as the previous poster noted, they sound horrible. im not even saying to buy something extremely expensive such as astros, u can get a good logitech or sennheiser (the better of the two being sennheiser) headset for slightly more and be much more pleased with the results, trust me on that. also, tritton does sound better but hardware issues are something to watch out for. i know im going off topic but both companies ive mentioned (sennheiser and logitech) make reasonable quality (matched to their price) wired headsets that you should def look into.

I wouldn't put logitech up next to Sennheiser.

Well first of all what's your current setup? Do you have a stereo receiver you can plug headphones into? or will it run from a TV?

Perfect, now for a couple more questions and I'll find you some headphones. First off do you need a microphone? Second will you spend a little more than $80? (lets say $90-$110 range).

Its most likely on the back or side of the panel. Anyways for a microphone solution I would recomend the Zalman clip mic + a PS3 and 360 adaptor.

These 3 for the microphone ($17):

Zalman mic http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Microphone-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1295162557&sr=8-2

3.5mm to 2.5mm (for 360)http://www.amazon.com/Universal-Male-Female-Headphone-Adaptor/dp/B000J6FWT4/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1295162631&sr=8-3

3.5mm to usb(for PS3) http://www.amazon.com/External-Adapter-Desktop-Notebook-Laptop/dp/B001MW92AE/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1295162690&sr=8-2

And for headphones these Sennheiser HD555 ($91)

http://www.amazon.com/Sennheiser-HD555-Professional-Headphones-Channeling/dp/B0001FTVDQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295247619&sr=8-1

Grand Total $108 in that $90-110 range, overall some great + versitile products. This allows for easy mix and match of headphones and microphone.

Though if you do want to spend less you could purchase less expensive headphones. I just find the price/performance of the HD555 is note worthy.
