[QUOTE="ArchDemon123"]Max Payne 3 is fantastic Just got that actually, guess i'll have to try it anyway since i'm a huge fan of the series. Any more? So, i'm in desperate need of a shooter, can you guys suggest me some?
couly
no. most shooters nowadays are terrible. im still playing cod4 as my main shooter. planetside 2 looks great but youll have to wait for it.Is ther new Sniper Elite worth having BTW?

other than that there is tribes ascend which is free but you pay for upgrades with real money (or earn them very slowly). it can be fun but imo horribly balanced with a bad meta game for a shooter. ie its not designed with alot of experience in the genre. ie, you spend alot of time doing nothing interesting, the guns are spammy and almost all AOE with massive knockback and the new guns are almost always overpowered at launch so people buy them with real money for an advantage.
BF3 and Red Orchestra 2 are all I need. One is faster and more over the top while the other is slower methodical and very realistic at times
No, not really, i'm more of the single player guy I have already tried Tribes, not really a fan of the setting. Are you speaking exclusively of online/multiplayer shooters?

Well, I'd recommend Nexuiz (Paid version, it's f***ing dead but bots make it fun enough), Counter-Strike: Global Offensive when it comes out, Tribes Ascend can be fun if your team isn't a bunch of sillies (and Planetside 2 will probably be the same), and Borderlands 2 will be amazing, might pick up BL1 if you haven't yet.
I played the demo for Sniper Elite V2 and enjoyed it. I recommend playing the demo first to see if you like it. The AI's not the greatest, and stealth doesn't always work, but there's still some good fun to be had there. I intend to pick up that game when it lowers in price.
Another third person shooter coming soon is Spec Ops: The Line, and I tried the demo yesterday. Okay for a typical third person cover shooter, but the story might be a bit more interesting. If they had included some good squad control mechanics, it could have been a lot better.

Ok cool, in that case let me recommend some that also include slightly older games you may have overlooked. I apologize in advance if any of these are painfully obvious, but I try not to make assumptions about others - Gears of War, the Red Faction series, the Fear series, Dead Space 1 and 2.... that's all I can think of at the moment, I'm really drawing a blank here! As far as some games I haven't tried yet but saw reviews of on YouTube - maybe Serious Sam 3, maybe Hard Reset, and maybe Painkiller. Are you speaking exclusively of online/multiplayer shooters?
