The best pre-built setup I can find is this: http://www.ebuyer.com/product/252738 Intel Quad Core Q8400 2.66GHz 6GB RAM 1TB HDD DVD Writer NVIDIA GTS450 Windows 7 Home Premium Although I would recommend building your own.

The ones you posted would be able to maybe run COD at min setting but not battlefield. Grey's recommendation could probably run them at mid/high settings while building it yourself with that budget you could start thinking about max setting and turning on AA.

No, the GeForce 210 is a terrible graphics card. Not made for games at all.

Yep. Much better. Go for that one.

The fist two builds you posted are not that bad , the only problem with it the graphics card is not good enough so don't buy any of that ones.

However this one is not bad (that's been posted by someone else above).

http://www.ebuyer.com/product/252738

This is not a bad prebuild for gaming, don't worry it will run most games on high to maxiumum settings allthough this one the cpu is a little slow.

However I have seen a better prebuild for 500 pounds.

There are prebuilds around that are better than self-builds. This one is a example of it. It will run all games on max settings on your monitor. If you can't buy this one (youstill have to pay shipping costs)do you have links to stores or shops may be we can find another then (or just post the specs)If you can get this one you'll be very pleased. I'm not from the uk but isn't that store everywhere around the uk? Maybe you can just pick it up with a car or something.

I have a prebuild myself and i build computers for 10 years now. Some prebuilds are just better than self builds (and i mainly use a pc for gaming)

Don't be fooled that the second build is also 2.66 ghz cpu, it's another type of cpu, it boosts above 3ghz if needed, the other one doesn't.

Don't worry 500 pounds is more than enough to buy a pcthat canrun all pc games on max settings, i have spended about the same on my prebuild.

The one Grey Eyed Elf posted would be a decent gaming system and is within your budget.

It's just the ones you posted in the OP that suck.

Is pc world a good site for you , i can look there, or comets or curry?, i can look there too for you. Anyone of those you prefer?

You can look yourself too and post the specs. I didn't see it was 599 , my mistake, that system is watercooled too. It's certainly worth it though. Still i look on those sites.

This one is cheap and will run all games at high to max settings. Allthough the cpu is notthat futureproof you can always update cpu later, you can even do it right now if you wish an amd phenom you have for 100 pounds.

You can easily wait to upgrade the cpu, no worries, it's clocked at 3.4 ghz dual core, you will run games just fine and that hd 5750 will be enough to play on your monitor, i play on 1280 x 1024 on a normal monitor (depends what the maximum resolution of your monitor is) and it looks the same as full hd on a widescreen. The heaviest games you will have to lower a couple of settings from extra high to high with this system like crysis and metro. (i set shadows & textures to high instead of very high, the rest on very high (shaders & stuff like that). There hardly a difference when you set them to very high. The restof the games, dead space 2, oblivion, mass effect 2, call of duty , you name it you will all be able to max outand use even 4xaa.

It's cheaper because pc's just don't cost a lot these days, simple as that. Amd cpu's are ultra cheap and they performgreat for games. This board also uses ddr2 instead of ddr3, no worries again, there's hardly a performance difference in gaming between ddr2 & ddr3.

Before you upgrade the cpu be sure to ask someone for advice to buy the best one in terms of price/quality. there are forums enough over the internet where you can ask and i'm sure they will still be there when you decide to upgrade
