Are these okay temps?

I'm running speed fan and on idle im getting degrees 49 c on the gpu and 47 on the cpu. specs are in my sig. Is this normal? thx

yah thats pretty dam good for standard, even if idle thats good. my 6800 GT with aftermarket zalman coolor runs at lik 55 or 60C at idle lol my amd64 3000+ overclocked to 2.430 ghz runs nice and cool for 100% load at 49C and the fan is clicked back to about 50%

if your wanting to see the max temp for cpu, run prime 95 torture test and watch your temp rise. as for gpu you could run that 3dmark program, or maybe sandra 2009 would have something like what your wanting. the only other option i can tell you is asus prob, or maybe some other programs that monitor temps, have a temp warning you can set. so when that temp is reached an alarm goes off. so, you can lower it a little bit at a time, game some, and if you don't hear the warning then that temp was never reached. not the best or quickest, but effective to see your max temps. of course you could also just check the temp right after closing your game, but it might have dropped a few points by then

oh and asus prob does have a bit of a graph, so it can show you like the last 30 seconds in a line graph form, not the most acurate to read, but you'll be able to easily see spikes if there are any over the max temp when you closed your game

Idle temps mean nothing. Load temps are what matter.

Yeah that's fine if you are running stock cooling.

You CPU may be a little high for an idle temp, but what matters is how high it gets when it is on full load.
