Is the mother board DDR2? Does this mobo have a pci-express slot? If yes to these 2 questions, you will be ok, but why bother with a BTX board if you are getting a mid tower case? And is this case compatible with BTX?

yes, my motherboard supports upto ddr2 ram, and im almost certain that it has a pci express slot. what does a btx motherboard even mean? and the reason i want a mid tower case is so that the graphics card can fit inside of it. but is the motherboard big enough to hold the graphics card?

It may physically work but i'm not sure how well. Overheating could be an issue in summer and the CPU could cause issues. You haven't listed the motherboard so it'll be impossible to give a yes or no, also you may want to note that you'll have to be extremely lucky to find a good BTX case.
