Are these speakers 5.1 surround sound?

If not, would they provide decent audio quality? (Im only paying 50 dollars and getting them from friend)

I can't really tell from the picture what brand they even are.  You are asking us to make an assessment based on a picture of a generic "5.1 in a box" system.

Look up the brand and model number and hit their website.
