Ok, I couldn't find a lot of Micron memory on the QVL...

---

I recommend that you get at least 2Gb of memory and a better graphics card. 1Gb is going to cause a bit of fps chop in say... Crysis? If you want to do a lot of mapping on the next gen games then I recommend at least 4GB.

Everything else looks good.

That's not bad, try going for an intel e6420 or a e6600. But do remember, if you were to build it yourself, the specs would get much better for that price range.

You should get at least: 2GB memory and a 8800GTS 320MB. You really can get a lot of higher end hardware if you just build it yourself. I have a lot of guides and info bookmarked in my... bookmarks... if you ever think about a DIY computer.
I hear building a computer is like "plug in and play", as long as you have the right hardware... and no dead chips or boards.

How does Dell get away with charging these absurd prices? (Alienware is owned by Dell.)

the price you paid for it, is quite a bit more than someone who built it would pay, the specs are alrite but quite a rip off imo.

I don't want the 8800 because that would cost $250 more. And I am not going to build my own computer.

I might be able to take off $300 by getting rid of the monitor. I have a really good monitor on another PC that I could use...

Is Quad core going to be full supported in the future or is it just going to be a transition core?
