I don't mind consoles, I just hate when people act like their console is more powerful than any computer out there, when in reality the day they are released they are using hardware we had a year ago. Good games on consoles though, and the devs really bring out the best of them. I like PC gaming because it is a richer experience for me.

I remember some guy was claiming PS3 was using super computer technology and it could run Crysis at max with 60fps, He was dead serious too. Blurgh, I hate console fanboys.
I'm willing to play/buy a console for exclusive titles, depending on whether or not the game is actually worth playing. However if a game is multi-platform then I'll always go for the PC version. I get a kick out of my friends amazement when they see how much better looking a PC version of a game they're playing on 360 is. :P

Lol, yeah I converted a few people over from console in my dorm building because they walked in on me playing my PC. It was like "Wow, I don't remember Mass Effect looking that good!". Then they get interested in PC gaming and you speak to them in jargon for a semester and slowly they understand and then want to build one for themselves.

No I'm, I can understand why people prefer consoles. I don't even like it when a PC gamer is bragging high and low about his pc and saying consoles are crap, I understand why peopel don't like pcs, usually they can't afford them.

Lol, we share a similar experience. Lol, my friends (Nintendo and Sony fanboys) were stunned by Crysis Warhead at MEDIUM settings.
Like above, LMAO at the image. I think I've turned into a PC snob. Previously owned PS and PS2, and have friends itching for me to get a new console for online gaming, but I'd rather my PC. I agree with ^, consoles are what you can get if you can't afford a decent PC, and I've been in that position. However, I can afford a very sweet PC now :) 8)
I only have a PC, so I don't know if that makes me a snob or not. However, I do like going over to my friend's house to play Wii. The graphics bothers sometimes with the jagged edges so I just turn my AA mode (by squinting my eyes). Hmm... I guess I am a PC snob after all...
Never owned a console in my life, I despise everything console related from previous gen upwards (PS2->). However, I usually play NES, SNES, Mega Drive, PS1, N64 games at my friends house. Consoles and console games are IMO very, VERY overrated. Heck I've even been called "not a gamer" because I only own PC games - now that's BS. PC has all the games and genres I like, while consoles offer nothing I couldn't get better on PC.
I despise when people i know say consoles have better graphics, controls, games than the pc but i like playing call of duty with my firends. Also i own a wii becuase they have games i cant play on the pc
I wasn't till I only had a PC, but then I got a PS 2 and XBox which made me realize how much better PC and PC Games were ... so yeah, you can call me one, I don't really mind
Yeah, kind of PC snob. Imo a console is worth buying only at the "end" of its life cycle (or, "when the next gen console comes out") so you really know which one to buy without bias (FF13 pops to mind, lol@people who bought PS3 for an exclusive that wouldn't have been out in YEARS).
But I will play consoles with friends, because the friends I have that like videogames like them on consoles. But when playing alone it`s PC or it`s nothing.
I'm somewhere in between. I like quite a few console games, but I hate how consoles have degraded some original PC games (FEAR, Battlefield, etc.). I'm hoping AvP3 and Mechwarrior will turn out alright even though they're multiplatform...
Yeah, i'll admit i am one. Most of my friends who game though do so on xbox360/ps3 as well as pc though. So i'll play it with them, however sometimes they dont get why i have so much fun on some pc games

Nope, While I enjoy Playing on the PC, certain games just look better on Console and handle better. You also don't need to worry about your Specs meeting the requirements
I'm not a snob in the sense that i feel PCs are far superior in every way ever. I just dont play anything else, and given the oppertunity to purchase another system i wouldn't. I Prefer the PC yes, however it does have it's flaws in some genres.
hehe funny pic. im not sure if im a snob. i have all 3 consoles (and a DS) and play them a fair bit (especially the wii....im currently enjoying WSR). but at the same time i will only play a FPS on a console if i have to (ie no PC version) and i will wait for a PC version of a multiplat (in pretty much every genre). i also flat out refuse to play RTSs on the 360 and PS3....i have tried some demos and imho they have all been sloppy and terrible.....even halo wars. i think the wii could be pretty good at RTSs mind (not something like empire..but something like warcraft 3 would certainly be dooable)..but no dev has given it a shot for some reason....too busy knocking their heads against a wall trying to get it working on the other consoles...and failing...probably. although i do like the consoles.....i make no bones about it...i think the PC is the best platform for gaming on the planet in pretty much every genre (with the exception of the beat em up, old tomb raider style platformer and maybe racing games...though the PC has some dam fine racing games also). when it comes to multimedia playback and extra features..the PC is also king imo. the consoles do win on ease of use and reliability (though with installs, OS updates, game patches, RROD and the extra functionality built in...consoles are not as easy to use nor as reliable as they used to be) and they do have alot of great games that will never see the light of day on the PC (not legally anyway :P). but the benefits a PC offers far outweigh the costs imho.
i have a 360 collecting dust, honestly about ready to sell it and spend the money on more pc games. I prefer simulation type games and the consoles REALLY lack anything close to those so......So yeah, call me one while im playing fsx-dcs blackshark-arma II
I've been gaming exclusively on PC for quite some time now; used to have PS, and my PS2 is dormenting somewhere in my room.
I don't consider myself as a PC snob simply because I don't care about console stuff, news, games and whatever...PC snobs suppose to "look down" on consoles right? I'm just "indifferent."
however, I do find console trespissers at this forum very, very annoying. Whenever a thread such as :the best game ever: comes up, they will throw in console exclusive titles at will...as if we need to put "PC game" in every thread as disclaimer at a f...... PC gaming forum. and quite often even there's a PC game disclaimer, they will do it anyway.
I started gaming on Super Nintendo then Sega Megadrive and so on and so forth till X360 and the Wii. Also started gaming on PC when there were like...4 colours..what did they call it then...CGA? So you can imagine that I really played both A LOT in the past. But I definitely prefer the PC tho because of its variety of genres and depth. And the amount of choices and control you have over your hardwares and softwares. Its a nice sense of freedom that I don't get on the consoles. I don't hate consoles but I do like bashing console fanbois on SW... Its a fun past time :P In RL I probably game with them :D
i live in a house with 6 other people and a console means hogging the tv, so i choose pc. however, if i lived by myself i'd still go pc because single player is better. i do love xbox though for when i hang out with freinds (even though only about 1/23 times we actually hang at my house and play games :P)
Wouldn't say I'm a snob, I just have tastes in games that you can't really find on consoles. Given the chance, I'd probably pick up a PS3 for the exclusives (or perhaps a 360). The PC is like any other platform; it has it's strengths and weaknesses. It just happens to have more strengths than weaknesses :P plus, building your own PC is a hell of a lot more fun than simply buying a console.
