I know that the other guy allready crated a topic but it didnt have a poll so i am re making the topic with a poll and plenty of options.

Personally i dont have the money to get any new video cards but i would say if i did i would probbly get a 5870 with a Nvidia card for PhysX

There was a similar poll earlier - and it was better. It had the option of: "sticking with your last-gen card because games right now just don't need that much horsepower" :D

I got 2 5870s and am really happy with my choice of going with ATI this round. Coming from Nvidia for 5-6 some odd years I was a bit worried because it had been awhile sense I owned an ATI card. I am glad I did not wait for Fermi as they are a huge let down.

Maybe, if the next batch isn't as disappointing. Besides, I just got a 9800 GT like 6 months ago and it's serving me well.

I've always used Nvidia, but I'm finally switching to ATI in a month or so. Nvidia just didn't deliver. It'll be kind of weird, I'd always used AMD and Nvidia for every build and now I'm going to end up with an Intel and ATI build.

Same here... Once the price drop a little I'll buy another card and water jacket and SLI them...thats if I can fit it all in..might need to go external on the liquid cooling.... Nice OC on that 930...is it stable ? I got mine to 3.2...figured that was good enough....3.68 is pretty impressive.

I didn't vote. But I just bought my HD 5770 not too long ago. The next video card I buy must be an nVidia if I stick with my buying cycle.

You mean crossfire them? :P

This is all I wanted to run the 930 at for now. For some reason it's getting really hot for being on water. 71C load is wayyy to hot for me. Have my new radiator coming in Friday so hopefully temps drop so I can dump more voltage into this thing so I can go 4ghz+!

Right now it is completely 100% stable no issues what so ever.

Nvidia lost this round. No amount of hype or new benchmark will be able to change that now.

My vote goes towards waiting and sticking with what I got for now.

Maybe by hd6### series by ATI I might find good reasons to upgrade my gpu setup.

What about the option of "I plan on waiting until the revised edition(s) come out before I buy" ? I refuse to accept another ATi card for my main systems, but at the same time, these 4*0's as they are now use up too much power and heat to really benefit me. I'd want to at least wait until their revised models come out that should hopefully be a lot better about how much electricity they use.

I'd be curious to see how this poll turns out in a few days.. but these results are a little shocking to me. Since I already have a 5870, I have no need of a 470 or 480.. but I didn't expect this. 31-8 in favor of ATI winning this round so far.. wow.

Nope. I'm going to stick with ATI for the time being, thinking about upgrading to a 5870 or possibly a 5970 later this year.Personally, I feel more comfortable with ATI gpus in my AMD builds but thats just me.

I am not really all that shocked. Nvidia dropped the ball this round. Maybe they will get it right when they make the "refreshes."

If my motherboard doesn't have a PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot does that mean I can't install a GTX 470 or ATI 5870

Thanks

No, you can still use them. It may take a few frames away, nothing drastic though.

Ok thanks but do you think I should buy a new one just in case. I've had this ASUS Striker Extreme motherboard for 3 years
