It looks just like sims 2 and since i have all the expansions for 2 I don't even want it.

I never liked Sims either. It seems like a menial, micro manage genre with no reward (except that your character dies).Probably not. I am not really a Sims kind of person. Never cared for the games.

never saw the appeal of the sims games. On top of that it costs like £200 total for all the "expansion" packs when its all done. Plus its EA/Maxis so expect draconian DRM.
You don't have to buy those. Plus the last game even had free DLC so it was unecessary anyhoo.never saw the appeal of the sims games. On top of that it costs like £200 total for all the "expansion" packs when its all done. Plus its EA/Maxis so expect draconian DRM.

Um. Sims 3 does not have DRM. It is using the simple key system. EA themselves have stated this.never saw the appeal of the sims games. On top of that it costs like £200 total for all the "expansion" packs when its all done. Plus its EA/Maxis so expect draconian DRM.

Yeah, its sort of a must have game. A chance to unwind from all the shooters and RTS games I play.clembo1990
That's the reason Im pick it up. ...lots of times I dont feel like any shooting and action stuff.
Yup if some of you guys actually did some fact reading on the sims 3..Its different from sims2...You have some rpg elements which im liking about this one..Also you have traits you can iimplement, into your character..One can become a rock star an be shown playing in front of a crowd..Now thats pretty awesome...If your a actor you get to sign autographs..So ya the sims 3 is different..Read fact before commenting..
[QUOTE="bonafidetk"]Um. Sims 3 does not have DRM. It is using the simple key system. EA themselves have stated this. And where did you read that it WON'T use Securom for that? If it asks for a key verification it definitely has DRM, most likely Securom. Securom can do basic CD key checks too you know. Not that I care about securom since I have many games with it, but it says straight in your face that it'll have DRM (cd checks, yeah it too is a form of DRM) and you're listening to EA that says it won't have other than that check. We'll se but I'm 99% sure it has Securom, if it didn't it wouldn't have any form of verification, not even a CD key check.never saw the appeal of the sims games. Not sure I didn't last long with Sims 2 ( got bored after a few days). You should a "not sure" or "maybe" to that poll

It does not have an online key verification system like Mass effect, if thats what you were thinking. It is the old, look behind manual for cd-key system. No online verification.never saw the appeal of the sims games. On top of that it costs like £200 total for all the "expansion" packs when its all done. Plus its EA/Maxis so expect draconian DRM.

Conversely, after waiting 8 minutes for my Sim to finish sleeping only to miss work in the morning. I feel like shooting people in the face pretty quickly.[QUOTE="Metalphor"][QUOTE="bonafidetk"]Um. All games seem retarded to people who dislike the concept/genre. I have friends who think I'm nuts for liking 4X games and I have friends who think it's weird to play RPGs. So no, the game is not retarded but just not for you. Personally, I always found a soft spot in my collection for the Sims games. Don't know why but after all of the wars and conflicts you see in games it is nice to slow down with a game of the Sims once in a while.**** no. This game is retarded..
Tapout_076
I saw the graphics and are nice but after Sims 3 we will see Sims 3, Pets, Sims 3, Night, Sims 3 and the same stuff as Sims 2 so it could be boring.
