I suppose this will be the first response so I'll put it out there first: I am in no way, shape, or form interested in DayZ.

I've watched a buttload of let's play videos on ARMA 2, but for some reason they haven't been convincing. Maybe it's me, or maybe it's the 1981 gin I've been consuming. The sale goes on for another week or so, and thus my question is as follows: Is ARMA 2 fun single-player, and is it worth the ten bucks for the complete collection?

I've already browsed tonnes of mods, so that's a non-issue. I'm obviously going to mod the shit out of the game, just like I did with Gothic 3.

Make sure to have some friends to play with, you know it's much more fun to operate a tank or a chopper with some friends.

I think its worth it dude, especially for cooperative gameplay. You can run through the entire campaign with friends and it can be hoot! - a wide array of multiplayer features as well.

DayZ got me to buy the game, but what I keep going back for is Wasteland. Even when I have ARMA 3 I still prefer 2.

I'm unable to watch video at the moment, but is that another multi game?

I can't stand having to rely on others to enjoy myself. 2k hours in TF2 taught me that valuable lesson. Now I'm only looking for single--player experiences which may or may not have a bonus multi component. SP=95%, MP=5%

Get Arma III if you want it for the single player. Arma III is a more polished experience in its single player and campaign. I always had trouble completing the Arma II campaign because it is full of bugs. I havent had a single problem playing through the campaign for Arma III though.

I was thinking the same, although honestly I can't justify the price tag. From everything I've heard, III is a superior game, but until the price halves or more there's no way I'm going to get it.
