I doubt it's going to be much cheaper during the steam sale.

Hard to say.... I could see the steam sale for ARMA2: CO being anywhere from 20-40% off.

But then again 25% off its current price is still a HUGE steal imo, as you get not only arma2 and operation Arrowhead but you also can play DAYZ :)

Cool, yeah probably won't get much cheaper on steam sale and Operation arrowhead is only ?15 there now. But OA is all I need as I have Arma II already that time they gave it for free on GMG. I NEED OA to finally play teh DayZ mod :P Come on steam sale

I live in Ireland and to get it on Ebay (no copies in Ireland) would cost a lot for shipping. So it's best to wait for steam sale

Considering DayZ is on the ArmA 2 map, not the OA map, you need Combined Ops (because DayZ uses assets from both games).

Considering DayZ is on the ArmA 2 map, not the OA map, you need Combined Ops (because DayZ uses assets from both games).

It says the free version is not compatible with mods or Operation arrowhead (to use dayz you need to be able to use mods and also use operation arrowhead).

I could be wrong though as I have seen some people post that it worked with free version.

In the steam forum post above dude listed a huge way to do it, but a arma2 mod came in and said

"not supported method, can result into unforseen consequences aka MP troubles ..."

I have heard the same thing from a few friends that tried this way, alot of bugs so they ended up just buying arma2.

I bought Operation Arrowhead now for ?11.25 and I just know in like a week in the sale it will be about ?7 :P but oh well no biggie, this way I get to play sooner

nope you need Arma II aswell since the map you play on "Chernarus" is a default Arma II map and isnt included in Arrowhead.
