It looked really boring in one of the live videos I watched of it. 20 minutes without any combat. biggest_loser
It can be pretty slow depending on the mission/game mode, but it can also be one of the most intense, stressful games I have ever played.Â
For instance, I was playing on a team deathmatch server. It was on a part of the map that had two hills on either side with a town in the middle. The players from the different teams spawn behind the hills and must run over them to get into the town. Getting down the hill is very challenging since you are exposed to enemy snipers on the opposite hill.Â
One time I managed to get down into the town and worked my way towards the enemy side. I got into one house and there were people firing all around me, a bunch of enemies ran past the house and I was totally stranded, but also in a excellent flanking position. Creeping around behind enemy lines taking out guys from behind with the knowledge that if I took one bullet it would be a long time before I could get back into a good position made it super intense, I was shaking and sweating the entire time until the match ended. At one point I was peering out of a window that had not had the glass broken yet. A bullet came flying down from the hill and took out the pane of glass right beside the one I was looking out, I quickly ducked down while a barrage of bullets smashed the rest of the glass while I crawled down the stairs and out of the building. I almost had a heart attack.Â
Getting shot at in Arma is bloody terrifying, no other game captures the feeling in the same way.Â
