I agree how it is overrated but it is still fun as hell to decapitate your friendss online =/
Why will it never be on PC?
Why will it never be on PC?Well I guess I can not really say it will never be on PC, but by the time it comes (if it even does) I will have other games to play and will not be too interested in the game. There is always hope it will come, but not a great chance.snipergun2895
The developers said never. Why? Piracy, which ic crap the truth is that the game did not sell well and when ms realized that their xbox games dont sell, they stopped alltougher to release on pc!!dakan45
I agree with you :O
Hate when developers makes piracy as an excuse :/
It'll get ported over in a few years when everyone who would have remotely wanted to play it forgets it exists. Expect "Gears of War : Game of the year...4 years ago edition" eventually.

cuz they say they lose more than what they earn which I think is BS , for Example Gears 2 is same as Gears 1 and porting it to the PC is not that expensive and they might get cash but I dunno how M$ thinks !!Never but In the Future Books Will Write That Gears of war 1 was the last game Microsoft published it on PC !!Dark_prince123
and future historians will note that PC gamers really didn't give a stuff ;)

lol we don't give a stuff..nice one.
It not that, its that when i got the game, which i got much later than the release date, i could not think of anyone who had the game, none of my friends, not even one. Like the game past through the pc gamer radar with 0 detection!!almost nobody would buy it, so no. Most pc gamers will tell you the series sucks, especially the laggy online play.

Like the game past through the pc gamer radar with 0 detection!! exactly, its what i call a console style shooter. suited for play with gamepad. I don't think people even pirated it all that much. Some of these companies, like crytek, id and epic need to swallow their pride and realize the games they put out for pc recently just weren't good enough for bigger sales than they got. I mean ya crysis was good, and it sold like 2 million copies despite not running well on anyone's computer when it was released!almost nobody would buy it, so no. I am under the impression that the only reason it was brought to the PC in the first place was to get PC gamers interested in the franchise and move them to the 360 if they were still interested in the franchise.I agree how it is overrated but it is still fun as hell to decapitate your friendss online =/

Cliffy B would do something like that if you asked me. I am not sure why, but I can not stand the sight of that man.

Its pretty weird actually, eg: neither halo or fable sold well on pc so they think it will be wise to cancel those games pc version and cancel alan wake which was a pc game originally!!! Is microsoft dumb? Fable is a joke in comparison with 30 years of pc rpgs. Let alone that halo 2 run only on vista and everyone had played it 3 years ago on xbox!! Cant they see mass effect 1 & 2 sucess on pc? It those games that did not sell, yet they blame piracy when crysis and mw2 were pirated to hell and back and still sold well!![QUOTE="dakan45"][QUOTE="kevy619"]

He ruined the UT franchise with UT3 by making the PC version the same as the console versions, ruining the mechanics that made UT and UT2004 extremely fun, even though multiplatform it sold like crap and instead of fixing the mistake (it was a matter of changing a bunch of text settings, not a OVER 9000 GBs patch) he told PC gamers to **** off and blamed them for piracy.
Despicable, extremely despicable attitude. I wonder how he got through this without a good share of punches.

I pesonally found nothing on ut3 that reminds me of unreal tournament, it just did not quite cut it. Only thing i was impressed with was the cutscenes before the missions, it felt like a singleplayer fps/3rd person taking place in the unreal universe could really score as a game!I pesonally found nothing on ut3 that reminds me of unreal tournament, it just did not quite cut it. Indeed. While the UE3 is a marvel, the game was extremely slow and lacked a lot of things the previous installments offered easily.
They should've called it Unreal Modern Warfare rather than Unreal Tournament 3.
i dont think it will be available on pc . played it on xbox360 and it was ahell lot of fun

+1 rep for you sir..
I sold my 360 after it rrod'd and promised to never own one again. The only game I cared about was gears 2. I just ordered Gears 1 on PC to fill the void. I'll guess Gears 1 will just have to do. Its probably better than Gears 2 on 360 anyways. We'll see.

With excuses like that, they DESERVE piracy.Yeah I wish man the first was great and even though I beat it on my friends 360 I still would love to play it on my pc:(

Its sad, because Cliffy was one of the best people working on unreal game, look what he became!! :( I really don't think it was Cliffy B's decision because Microsoft pulled the same stuff with Halo on PC as well. Halo: CE was ported to PC to get people to migrate to Xbox for Halo 2. And then Halo 2 was used solely for pushing Vista sales. Gears if War was never intended as a PC game and it shows.[QUOTE="gamer620"] I am under the impression that the only reason it was brought to the PC in the first place was to get PC gamers interested in the franchise and move them to the 360 if they were still interested in the franchise.dakan45

im not impressed with ue3, every game using is just a bunch of nice textures painted on a mechanical world with a view distance of around 100 meters. I always have to turn down the dpi of my mouse too, otherwise the games feel jumpy when the engine cant seem to keep up with my mouse regardless of framerate.[QUOTE="Mograine"][QUOTE="dakan45"]I pesonally found nothing on ut3 that reminds me of unreal tournament, it just did not quite cut it. With excuses like that, they DESERVE piracy.Far as I know they never planned on releasing Gears1 on PC either, I mean PC gamers got a port of it a year later, quite a few PC gamers were actually asking for it. Then it sold crap anyway. Maybe because of piracy, or maybe because noone cared anymore.
Whether you think gears2 isn't slated for PC is because of piracy or not I don't really blame them for not bothering. But I'd imagine they've done more research into which platform would be the least-risk to develop games on than anyone on this forum. And the fact that its not just the few big developers who have done badly with a couple of their big releases complaining about piracy but damn near all of the major ones should give you some kinda clue.
Did you see the piracy stats for the game Demi-god? their online servers couldn't handle the amount on ppl playing the game, this should have a good sign of the sucess of the game but from the 120,000 people playing only 18,000 were actually legit copies. Thats huge! I know its not related to Gears2 but its not too surprising if stories like these are scaring dev's away from the PC platform.
