So it's $6.79 for AssCreed 1 and 2, and $20 for Brotherhood, and if you get all three it's about $27.

I've always been interested in this series, but I don't know if it's worth it now to get all of them, when Brotherhood will most certainly go on sale again around November to hype up the release of Revelations.

So, should I spring for all three or just get 1 and 2 for half the price?

Im sorry i laughed at AssCreed :D Well, the 2nd and third are the better ones because the first is really repetitive. I played the 2nd one first and it doesnt have MUCH to do with the story, but i havent played the 3rd. I recommend getting 2 and 3, and just read the story for 1. (on wiki or whatever.)

first one is super repetitive and has simple plot, second is great but its a really bad port, brotherhood is great port but short (its more like a spinoff) $27 is a decent price for the 3 games

$27 is quite a steal for all the Assassin Creed games. I'd say definitely go for it.

Brotherhood isn't short, it's the longest Assassin Creed yet, add in multiplayer and it's easily as long as 1 + 2 combined. I personally wouldn't bother with any of them except Brotherhood, but if you want to know the story, it's a great price for all 3.

I'm cool with ports; currently playing Saints Row 2 if that says anything xD.

Guess I'll be snagging all three. I've been in the mood for a good 3rd person platform/action game with a decent semi-serious plot. Haven't played one in a long while.

Thanks, guys :)

AC1 is weakest but its worth playing through once to know whats going on. AC2 is far superior and it irons out a lot of the big issues with 1. Brotherhood is a small extension of 2 and its definitely worth playing. I say its worth it.

I think that's a good price for all three, so you might as well go for it. Also, AC1 stacks up as one of the best games I've played in recent years. I didn't mind the repetitiveness, the game itself really drew me in. I don't really care for the story and characters as much in AC2 as I did AC1, so I haven't been able to finish it.. yet. Working on it again. :) 1 seemed to have much better immersion in my mind, what with all the cities being connected and having to travel along the roads and seeing all the common people. In AC2, you pretty much just teleport wherever you want to go. Just wanted to throw that in there, since I think the first game is absolutely worth playing.

Oh yes, yes it was :P

Figured I'd get a response more quickly if somebody saw the topic and was all "WTF is that?"

After hearing that AC1 isn't all that great, could I just skip to 2 and still know whats going on?

My friend who's played all three says that AC1 has the best story. It's also a very short game if you don't go after achievements. I'm getting it just for the story; figuring I'll breeze through and then get to the actually good games :D

I would get all. First is the weakest but it doesn't mean that it's a weak game, and it really is better to start with for the story to be whole. Brotherhood is the best of all, I'm really enjoying it

Forget AC1, its far too repetitive and really not worth it just to get the "story". All you need to know is Desmond uses a machine which reads his DNA to see what his ancestors did. The company dont want Desmond to leave so someone breaks him out of the facility. I think the break out is at the beginning of AC2 actually.

GET THEM ALL! Assassin's creed looks very good on the PC (3d or not), I borrowed them from an old friend when they first came out for the 360, and they all look so much better than the console versions. but even the very first one, which is 4 years old, is breathtaking.

You'd be confused on a lot of points. I say just play it. I thought it was an amazing game.
