That motherboard has AGP 8X, so any Video card in With that Bus Will fit.

As for the Ram, It only supports the older DDR400 Format, not the new DDR2. Also, the cpu you're looking at is, i believe, a socket 775 LGA (Land Grid Array) Cpu. Meaning it wont fit onto you're new Socket 478 Motherboard.

I did a little search on newegg for you, if you're looking for a socket 478 Processor, this is the best you're gonna get for that older socket. Its a Pentium 4 2.8 GHZ Northwood, fully suported by that asus MB.

Hmm... It will support a Northwood chip... not a skt 775 chip.. and 478's are really hard to find now... and the video card... a 7600 GT would do you wonders...

i found a Prescott P4 Cpu. HERE.

Honestly? that right there, is most likely the best you'll get. Prescott being an improvement over the north-wood core..I don't know of that older Intel chip set supports Prescottt or not though.

Sweet... I wonder if newegg ships up here? (canada) because the canadian sites I looked at did not even list a 478 chip anymore... And even ebay would not give us anything that would work...

But..the cpu P4 3,4Ghz with hyper threading it's socket478, I need to know if will work on my Asus P4P800SE, i know it suport 3,0Ghz but i want 3,4G , I try to survive with new games coz I don't 've money 4 new good one pc. Your motherboard has a limitation on processor speed? I really dont think there will be a problem as long as its the same socket..I've never heard of limited processor speed.

Okay... Looks to me like they should work excep teh 3.4E cpu... That requires a 2.0 Revision of the board which you likely do not have...

You must be used to AMD then... Intel has a long history of makeing CPU's that don't work in a socket they fit in... Take for instance the C2D... That will not work in my P5P800 or my P5LD2 (rev 1.x)

Never used an AMD, but how exactly will they not work "properly" and to me it seems like a rare occasion.
