ASUS Silent Knight 2 Temperature

I got the Asus Silent Knight 2 now as CPU cooler because the stock cooler reached over 70 degrees celsius, but im kinda dissapointed because my CPU temperature is now 35 degrees celsius idle when it's supposed to bearound 25 degrees celsius. Does anyone know what im doing wrong? I got the Intel 2 Quad Core Q9450 and made the thermal paste equally flat on it before mounting the silent knight.

I know im a bit overexagerating but im used to very low cpu temps and seeing that the temp usuallywas 25 degrees celsius and then raised to 70 andnow dropped to 35 makes me half:D and half:cry:

Those are good temps now with that new cooler. but to get near room temps for idle is pretty hard. Also adamosmaki those temps arent that good for what you have unless you overclocked it. But my 125w cpu which pumps out alot more heat compared to yours only maxes at 50C and its on a stock cooler.04dcarraher

Remember that your case matters, so does ambient temperature also half of the temp tests are done on open cases and remember you've got to 'burn in' the thermal compound (about 200 hours i think)markop2003

For some reason what you said just worked =P my temp is now 25 degrees idle again :D woohoo
