Google it, chances are, if you already know the name, then you will know what it does. It seems pretty nice, but I'm pretty sure that it's not going to be shipped with a 7900GS anymore, seeing as the GS is going to be replaced on April 28.
One problem I can see with it is that it uses expresscard. So it is limited to using just one PCI-e x1 lane, sou could impact on performance. However, the idea is brilliant, and if successful, we may see more external graphics cards for laptops later this year, especially since the PCI SIG have now approved external PCI-e x16 cabling. If this (or if someone else releases something like it) comes out at a decent price (I'd say around £100 for the version without the graphics card, or for the version with the card, £100 more than what the card itself retails for), and doesn't have too much of a performance issue, then I could see myself getting this and a laptop rather than building a new PC later this year.
The notebook was at CES 2007... release date was beginning of Q2 2007, so that would be somewhere at the beginning of April, just grab some wood and hope it doesn't get postponed. The best thing you can do is buy it at a store, so you can easily send it back and ask for a fix or replacement if something breaks.
