I think i have a broken Graphics card, When playing RA3 last night the computer shut down. after trying to restart a few times i left it for a while, came back and it worked. i then looked at the system event thing, which was litteraly full of messages saying graphics card is overheating. the computer in question is a Dell 530, Q6600, 4gb ram & the ati 2600xt.

On closer inspection of the card when on i don't see the fan on the card going at all and the temps reaching 80c +

Doe this mean what i think it does, Time for a new card?

Just needs a new fan, one of the fan cables has probably come off due to the heat, you will burn out your card in days though if you keep running it without the fan working..

I have under clocked it for now, down to about 200mhz, and it is still idles ata around 70c.

If i remove the card will i be able to see whats come off? (and re-attach it)

Or how much are the fans?
