hi i have this gtx 295 and before months i way saying to change my card for to buy direct11 card but i see somethings things and tell me if i do wrong i see that my gtx 295 beats 5870 5850 and 5770 am i right;; ok my card doesnt have direct 11 is true but when i went to see which games will come with direct`11 in the http://en.wikipedia.org and i saw which games will have direct 111 like battleforec aliens and 2 more so itsnt not worth to buy direct 11 card am i right;; for only 4 or 5 games;; so the money will unusells am right;; so the best thing is to wait in 2011 to buy the second generaion when direct11 pc games become more this is my opinion so my gtx 295 will serve me and in 2010;; what you think;; am i right in these things i am saying;; is it worth to buy direct11 card now;; when in the market will be on;ly 6 games ;; is it worth;;;

Dont upgrade for atleast another year, you could probably get away with playing every game at the highest settings for a very long time with that GPU. OCCT's large CPU test it ran for the first 40mins just fine then it crashed, I reset the CMOS booted it up and checked a number of programs and found that I only had 3 working cores I set it back to 2 cores and left it at that since it kept crashing. I guess AMD know what they are doing seeing as though the CPU didn't pass their Quad tests, from now on I cant recommend the CPU for anyone looking to get it unlocked and stable especialy since Im not the only one that its happened ocuk forums have 26 victims of cores failing after heavy CPU benches.

I agree to some degree, seeing as I had the CPU as a quad running for 3 weaks of solid gaming at 3.6Ghz mind you they do help by reasuring you that what you've done is worth it and working.
Also I would like to add that I suffered no frame loss in any game by going from Quad to Dual at 3.8Ghz... kinda obvious :P.

If you are arrogant enough to not see them, then forget about it. If you want to hear it again. Do NOT buy anything till the next year, then see if the upgrade is worthwhile. I still recommend spending the money you have on learning English rather then getting high-end stuff....

Yes the GTX 295 beats anything 5870 and lower, though the 5870x2 will come out soon which for sure will beat the GTX 295 save up.

Companies make these new GPU so that they can stay ahead in technologies, it is a cycle. Game devs do not make new games because there is no hardware to run it. Once there is hardware to run it, game devs will start making games for that hardware, you see? It works in a circle.
