ATI crossfire and Nivida card

I know this has probably been awnserd a bunch of times but i have a ATI cross fire mothboard and i was thinking about getting the nividia 8800 GTX .... now my question is will there be a conflict....will i not be able to use it or do i just download the drivers and im set to go....

what are your guys opinion on the ATI radeon 2900 HD xt daimond card vs the Nivida 8800 GTX card... From what ive heard the 8800 is faster but not as good image quality as the Radeon ....This true?

yeah image is better on 2900xt and it is wright behind the gtx in some games it's better like ut3 but in most games it's close

Should i go Nivida or wait untill a new line up of cards come along....

new cards are gona be mid- high end cards not better then current high-end or wait a few days for the real benchmarks
