Thank you, all I needed to know.

http://www.guru3d.com/article/radeon-hd-5770-review-test/13 Actually, in the tests that these guys performed, they found that they're about equal. And sure, they might cost a little more than the 4870s but they're also smaller and use less power.Except that is performs UNDER a HD 4870 and it costs about $10-$20 more, $40+ at most.

The people that bought a DX10 when they could've got a DX11 card will be kicking themselves in the ... next year...Except that is performs UNDER a HD 4870 and it costs about $10-$20 more, $40+ at most.

as to the TC, that card will play ANY game you want. and most of them it will play wonderfully.
i will be picking up a 5750 for my gf in a few months.

+1!!! 3D Vision is a MUCH better feature than some stupid 6 monitors! Who is gonna pay for that, huh? And I am supposed to have headaches looking at those black lines? Forget it... Besides, Physx is also a nice feature without which you wouldn't be able to simulate some fantastic effects in Trine etc.[QUOTE="SLIisaownsystem"][QUOTE="Iantheone"] Physx isnt a game, nor is 3d. No special features were asked about.

I wasnt trying to. Thiat SLI guy just comes in spouting about how Nvidia is better and has this and that even though the OP was asking about an ATI card. Im not going to fight for either side, they both make some pretty good cards. I am just trying to make a point that both companies provide different features. Ughh, just saw SLIisaownsystems's sig..... 3D vision is a gimmick and if its anything like the 3D technology that i have seen over the past decade, it will almost work half the time and otherwise failing the rest of it. Im not saying that Eyefinity is better, i just think 3D is useless[QUOTE="Slig0"][QUOTE="SLIisaownsystem"]+1!!! 3D Vision is a MUCH better feature than some stupid 6 monitors! Sorry, but Nvidia wont be the only company with Physics http://www.brightsideofnews.com/news/2009/9/17/amd-supports-opencl-bullet3b-are-havok-and-physx-in-trouble.aspx And The source engine still has the best physics around ImoSorry, but Nvidia wont be the only company with Physics http://www.brightsideofnews.com/news/2009/9/17/amd-supports-opencl-bullet3b-are-havok-and-physx-in-trouble.aspx And The source engine still has the best physics around ImoIantheone
no it dont valve games look horrible even mgs2 has better graphics than any valve game. Nvidia has better openCL drivers than ATI. Nvidia will support both CL and Cuda, but thats not the point. The point is can i play mirrors edge with physx effects on ATI? Maybe CL is the future but i cant still not play this view physx games after all. Nvidia is not only a hardware company, they are also a software company. Nvidia will always keep fighting and bring something new to the table to say hey look at us we have this you dont.

I didnt say the Source engine had good graphics, i said it had good physics. Nvidia isnt the only company that comes up with new ideas. Both sides have things the other doesnt. ATI: DX11 cards, 40 nm cards, and 6 monitor support for a single card Nvidia: 3D Vision, and Physx processors[QUOTE="Iantheone"] Sorry, but Nvidia wont be the only company with Physics http://www.brightsideofnews.com/news/2009/9/17/amd-supports-opencl-bullet3b-are-havok-and-physx-in-trouble.aspx And The source engine still has the best physics around ImoSLIisaownsystem

but come on people for real. all he asked was if this 5770 would play games well......
but it seems that someone always has to start some crappy circular argument.
nvidia has its pros and cons...
ati/amd has its pros and cons...
intel has its pros and cons... seems like i just summed it up quick there.

i loved mirrors edge on my xbox 360 (ati card btw, HD3650-ish equivalent), very few of my friends actually played it, let alone chose to buy it for their nvidia pc.

Actually DIRT2 comes out at the first of december, and battleforge is already out. And we can also play the unigine "heaven" Dx11 demo with tessellation on and you have to wait for Q1 2010

Lol... Okay, let me understand this. ---I--- am an nVidia fanboy because I look at the objective facts and what features it has and recommending it because of that? Where has the free speech disappeared? And when did I, for hell's sake, talk up nVidia like they are Gods? I did that to AMD in jokes, but never nVidia. I am fully objective and know what can you expect out of both ATI/nVidia. And this is the first time you saw me posting my anti-ATI opinion (which I have a right to post, these are forums, not hofuldigrums) and you accuse me of promoting nVidia to God? Really, you are a fanboy of epic proportions.
For mainstream gaming uses, nVidia is a much better choice as it is supported in a wide variety of games and optimized in them.

nah, its automatically closer to the 3000 eries due to being one of the first ati cards with unified shaders
sorry, i meant 2000 series. aparently the x1900 series had the unified shaders? which ever card was around when the 7900gt's were around (sorry, wasnt looking at ati back then)
