Going from a GTX260 (according to your sig) to a 6770 is probably only 5-10% increase. I would look at the 6850/70.

Ah this is for a friend, thanks for the info. At least he'll have a good card, since at the moment he can barely run L4D2. Appreciate it.

GTR12

Still it's a quite sensible pre-built.

Your friend will surely be satisfied with it if he can barely run L4D2 with the current one. BFBC2 and the likes will propably run on medium.

Yes I know that, but it explains why the TC wasn't comparing other cards and only a OEM card.

i think as long as he doesnt go 1920x1080 and aims for 40-45fps average Bad company 2 will be ok for high settings. It has a fast quad core cpu that BC2 will take advantage of and a 6770 ( 5770 that is)

Yeah he's had a terrible time running much games, his current system has 512MB of Ram with a Nvidia 6150 LE. Been telling him it's time to upgrade but he's been putting it off for so long, this should hopefully pull him out of that hole he's in. Yes I know, he had a horrible system.. Well appreciate the help guys, should be one hell of an upgrade/jump for him.

If you keep to DX10 you can easily max out BC2 with a 5770. I'm averaging 50fps with a 4890 @ 1920*1080.

if you're able to build computers why not just build one for him, it will be a good experience and you will get a better computer and save some money out of it

I would but he lives on the westside of Canada, i'm all the way to the east. He may come down this summer but he wants to pick up a new computer in a few days. Also he isn't tech savvy so he really doesn't want to upgrade the computer. I told him in about 2-3 years you'll want to replace the card but that's about it.

I have almost the same system except with a 4890 (not sure how it compares to a 6770, butit was slightly faster than a 5770) and Im able to max BC2 1080p with 40+ FPS.
