My antec 900 case has a audio wire, and all these other wires attached to it. (MIC, MIC-BIAS, L-out, R-out, and etc.) But no where in the motherboard manual does it say where to put them, it does about the audio one, but not the others, help please :(

EDIT: I forgot to mention that in the motherboard manual it says to connect PWRLED to so and so, but my case doesn't have a PWRLED wire at all (It doesn't have a Power light at all on it anyway) should I just skip this or is there something wrong?

The audio wires are optional.Your case has a FRONT AUDIO setup. Not all cases have that and not all MOBOs support it.As for the PWRLED that is optional. It is just the green led on the front of some cases that indicates your PC is powered on.

Aahh, that's what I thought, my father was telling me in the background "Damnit son, I paid for the firewire stuff, and the extra audio wires, and you're going to use them!" heh, he doesn't even know what they are for :P I knew they were optional, and I just hooked the baby up and started it, everything is working fine.

I actually have a similar question myself. I just bought an Antec P180 a few weeks ago and it has audio on the front. I was wondering how to do the pinout for my Audigy 2 card so I can use the front audio ports.

What kind of Audigy 2 do you have? If it's not the high-end model it doesn't have pins to plug front audio ports.

I have never used Firewire. If I ever needed to use it I would plug into the rear. The only reason cases utilize front ports is for conveience. The only thing you really need is the PWRSW to turn your unit on and off.My kids comp has a FRONT AUDIO 10 pin set up specially for that on his MOBO.But the trick is if you dont use the FRONT AUDIO set up you have to jumper 4 of the pins to get audio out the rear.It varies from MOBO to MOBO.Â
